Police Maman

Shankaranunni (Baburaj) is an eccentric cop in the Kerala Police Dept. with a lackadaisical characteristic and is married to Lekshmy (Sunitha Varma), the only daughter of a senseless politician from Tamil Nadu. Instead of serving his duty or investigate crimes, he likes to remain at his home 'Pulikkattil' as he does agriculture work, continuously opting for medical leaves. But as the murder of a college student comes to fore, he is forced to take charge of the investigation. How he sorts out the mystery forms the rest of the movie.

Circa British Raj in India, in a small village, Bansiram has owned and maintained a plot of land donated to him by a kind-hearted Zamindar. The Zamindar passes away, and his lecherous, womanizing, and alcoholic son views this plot, and describes it as heavenly, and wants it at any cost. Bansiram refuses to sell, and the Zamindar's son wants it by hook or by crook. Bansiram appeals to the British for protection, which they provide, and Bansiram is thus able to save his property. Shortly thereafter the Zamindar's son passes away, and his look-alike son, Devraj comes to take-over the estate. Devraj does not consider taking-over Bansiram's land as a priority, and years go by. The Zamindar's soul, unable to complete it's task during this life-time, wonders around in anguish and pain - waiting. When Devraj finally goes to see Bansiram, he finds an elderly semi-senile man...

The film is a sequel to the 2008 hit, Vinayakudu. Krishnudu reprises his role as Karthik in this film, whilst Saranya Mohan plays the female lead, and Rao Ramesh plays the role of her father. Telugu novel writer Yandamuri Veerendranath makes his acting debut in a small but vital role. The film was released on 5 November 2009 and received positive reviews.[citation needed] It faired well at the box office and ran for 75 days.

The family of Justice Saxena is extremely happy until his younger brother Inspector Rajesh Saxena (Suresh Oberoi) arrests a notorious gangster, Bhawani Singh. Justice Saxena sentences Bhawani Singh to death. Bhawani Singh's brother, Dilawar Singh (Danny Denzongpa), vows to avenge his brother and he kills the judge as well as his driver Shanker. Dilawar Singh also tries to kill their sons. Driver Shanker's son, Karan (Ajay Devgan) loses his eyesight while saving Justice Saxena's son Babloo. Justice Saxena's wife, the two children and Rajesh Saxena leave the city. Dilawar Singh finds them and kills the Judge's wife and throws Babloo out of the running train. Before dying, Babloo donates his eyes to Karan. Karan vows that he will not remove his goggles till he confronts Dilawar Singh.

Raja is a petty thief living around the streets of Bombay, indulging in pickpocketing. In the same city lives Rani who makes a living through dancing. The two meet and fall in love. Raghu, the owner of a cycle company, lives luxuriously with his wife Sarala and children in Madras. Madhu, his manager, has been misappropriating the company funds with the help of his lover Manorama who Raghu is later attracted to.
