Muanapoto

I am a "muanapoto". This means, in Lingala, the majority language in Congo, "the child of France". I lead two lives: on the one hand, my life with my boyfriend, and on the other hand, my weekends at my mother Suzanne's, who doesn't know that I am homosexual. At the age of 30, I began an intimate investigation to understand what was preventing me from telling her. By making my mother talk about what I don't know about her, her past and her culture, I discover the way to not be the only one to announce a part of my identity. This is the beginning of a dialogue.

When Big Tech Targets Healthcare

"Cure and eliminate all diseases by the end of the century": this is the ambition of Facebook boss Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, pediatrician Priscilla Chan, through their foundation, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. For several years now, the Web giants have been investing massively in the world of medicine. While Google is developing an artificial intelligence capable of competing with the best practitioners, Apple is allowing everyone to monitor their health thanks to connected objects, while Amazon is taking over the telemedicine and health insurance markets via Amazon Care, its assistance service. These tech behemoths are banking on the exploitation of health data, the "new black gold", to improve care, reduce costs and prevent illness. But can we trust them with this information blindly?

Homosexualité : la fin du placard

On August 4, 1982, after a bitter parliamentary struggle, homosexuality ceased to be an offence in France. It was the realization of a campaign promise by François Mitterrand. For four decades, homosexuals had been confined to the disavowal of their entourage, to clandestinity and to police harassment, and now they can finally live in the open. It took more than 15 years of struggles, heated debates and demonstrations to rally intellectuals and politicians to their cause. Activists, ministers and parliamentarians testify to their commitment to overcome the last barriers of a hostile society.
