The Carl Verheyen Band - Live In L.A
I custodi del tempo
Fourth in the classic artists series: Jethro Tull, from being one of the hottest blues-rock bands of the late 60s to touring with Led Zep, to holding the record for the number of consecutive nights at the la forum, to the first live concert broadcast worldwide, to nearly bringing down the grammys, the life and times of legendary, indefinable rock band Jethro Tull has rarely been dull. Forty years, 2000 gigs, 19 albums, 25 members, 20 million sales & a sex change since a ramshackle group of spotty youths armed with nothing but a bunch of great tunes & a flute launched themselves onto an unsuspecting public at the marquee club in 1968, the key players in their long & illustrious history give for the first time, their side of a complex & intriguing story.

They fought against the bosses, but also against the destruction of the workers health and environmental contamination.

Three small films for as many reflections on the senses and human knowledge. In the first episode, Emmer reviews with anthological and didactic intent the precepts of ancient philosophy, from Greek to Roman civilization; in the second, working as he did at the beginning of his career on a vast repertoire of pictorial and non-pictorial images, he analyzes the “history of the gaze” in the visual arts, from prehistoric graffiti to medieval altarpieces, from Impressionist and Cubist paintings to modern-day advertising posters; finally, in the third, recounting with irony and lightness a day of solitude in his mountain home, he reflects on the intellectual thinking of writers and great thinkers, relating to his own individual experience as much the words of oral tradition and popular culture as the writings of geniuses such as Shakespeare, Spinoza or Gogol.

In the vast industrial spaces of the Pomodoro Foundation, Jannis Kounellis is preparing the installation for his "One-Act Play." A humble art, made of steel construction elements and animals, sacks of coal and piles of stones, grease, and fire. A small "film-shadowing," a "resonance of images that still linger in the memory as at the end of a beautiful journey."
