How Fast Can You Eat A Pickled Egg?

Right in the heart of Hackney, The Cock Tavern is no ordinary East London pub. Renowned for its real ales, larger-than-life regulars, and a dose of eccentric charm, it also plays host to one of the capital’s quirkiest underground traditions: the pickled egg eating competition. How Fast Can You Eat a Pickled Egg? is a short documentary that dives headfirst into this bizarre yet beloved ritual, capturing the characters, chaos, and community spirit that make the event truly unforgettable. From local legends chasing eternal glory to wide-eyed newcomers testing their limits, the film is a funny and heartfelt portrait of a place where tradition is steeped in vinegar—and victory tastes oddly sulphuric.

what colours can we dream in this night filled with salt?

In his work, Julianknxx proposes radical listening: the past and the present brush up against each other, and history is not revealed as a static account, but as something that pulses, that is remade at every turn. At the crossroads of art and politics, his images and sounds remind us that our stories were never just the colonial narratives we were told – they are also what we keep singing, even when no one seems to be listening. Work developed during the LUMA Arles Residency Program and commissioned by Fundação Bienal de São Paulo for the 36th Bienal.

Success Is Served

A woman calls The Success Service to help her create the façade of success. The service facilitates re-ordering the house to fit the woman’s perception of success. None of the invitees show up beside the mailperson who spent the day delivering said invites only to realize they too received an invitation. The party of two proceed with the night of fine dining and connection, facilitated by the service workers, but all is not what it seems. Examining the commodification of success and its defining parameters, the film aims to explore the lengths one will go for a fleeting sensation of perceived achievement and purpose. If success is commodified then, just like any other good for sale, it has an expiry.

Our Dinosaurs

For over 170 years, Crystal Palace Park has been home to monsters. When sculptor Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins unveiled the Crystal Palace Dinosaurs to the public in 1854, they were the first ever life-sized depictions of extinct animals. Whilst hugely inaccurate according to our modern understanding, they now represent an important milestone in the history of science. They're also one of South London's most beloved and charming attractions. Over the years, the sculptures have fallen into disrepair thanks to a lack of funding, perennial vandalism and the forces of nature. But a passionate group of local residents have banded together to keep the statues standing. With the help of a world-famous rockstar, can they stop our dinosaurs from going extinct?

You Can't Outrun Yourself

An experimental avant-garde film where the character battles with herself, struggling to understand and embrace her true identity. Blending dream-like and reality sequences together, the film connotes inside the character’s mind. Escaping to different parts of her subconscious, she is met with confrontation, fear & desire. This piece of work highlights themes of identity, surrealism & subjectivity, where the instability of the self is at the forefront of the film. The film uses elements of mixed media montage to portray the character’s inner thoughts.
