From July to September 1979, Nicolas Jaeger lived alone for 60 days at an altitude of 6,700 meters and studied the effects of hypoxia on his body. He documented his experience on film and later in his book, "Carnet De Solitude," published in 1979.
A film about the 1979 expedition to Nanga Parbat in Pakistan, led by Lyon native Jean-Pierre Frésafond. After a city tour, they set off by bus and then on foot with Sherpas to base camp. Having set out to attempt the Rupal Pillar, the expedition was unable to reach its objective in time (torrential rain, blocked roads, scree, etc.) and lost precious time before choosing to attempt the Mazeno Ridge by default. The team theoretically had the means to do so, since it brought together no fewer than 21 strong climbers, with a large core from Lyon—a concentration of talent rarely seen. But the resulting group dynamic worked contrary to expectations, and they had to settle for the most modest of consolation prizes: the ascent of the First Peak (6,880 meters). Frésafond recounted this in a book-testimony "The Revenge of the Himalayas - The Human Adventure at Nanga-Parbat".

Beaujolais Nouveau Is Arrived, directed by Jean-Luc Voulfow in 1978, is a comedy inspired by the novel by René Fallet that depicts an incredible adventure set against a backdrop of French rurality and popular friendship. The film tells the story of Camadule, an enigmatic and endearing character, respected in his small café "Chez Gaston", where he shares anecdotes and mysteries. One day, his friends entrust him with the sacred mission of fetching several barrels of Beaujolais Nouveau, supposedly belonging to an old countess with whom he is favored. To accomplish this quest, he is joined by the Captain, a former soldier disillusioned by life and its failures, and Kamel, an immigrant worker, all driven by the hope of the new wine and the dream of a collective adventure.

A construction worker on a construction site in the Paris suburbs, Mehdi takes the bus to return home after work. Wishing to get off while the vehicle is stationary in a traffic jam, the driver refuses: while restarting, the bus hits the car in front of it. The bus driver attacks Mehdi whom he holds responsible for the incident, claiming that it is forbidden to “talk to the stagehand”. Mehdi is implicated in court and his lawyer tries to draw attention to the living conditions of immigrant workers.
A young architect, Alquié, is sent by the French government to study a solution to save Venice. His collaborator, an Italian photographer, believes that the Frenchman does not know enough about the soul of the city and its inhabitants to decide on his fate; in order to make him better grasp this ambiguity, he uses the charms of Marina, a young idle countess whom he seduced easily. This one, enigmatic like the city, frequents the two men until the day when her mother decides to marry her to a very wealthy compatriot, more interesting for the nobility of his ancestors than for his personal value. Georges Cazenave, a " politically committed" French TV reporter leads a good life. Besides having a regular mistress in the person of Hélène, he is a ladies man with "a girl in every port". But this comfortable situation is challenged the day he hires Céleste as his housemaid. A Portuguese immigrant, she soon appears to be a Marxist-Leninist activist, engaged in political groups working against the regime of Salazar, the dictator of Portugal. Geoges and Céleste fall in love with each other, which brings adventure in the reporter's hitherto superficial life, upset by a breakup with Hélène, the interference of the French Secret Service and a touch of terrorism.
