Big & Little

His last big journey took him from Stein am Rhein to faraway Japan. Theo Plakoudakis and Marco Salituro had developed the script especially for Mathias Gnädinger. And so the popular actor filled the role of "Big Summer" with a lot of heart: The former wrestling king Anton Sommer is forced by the ten-year-old boy Hiro to accompany him to Japan. Hiro wants to become a sumo wrestler like his father. Zurich-based Stefan Jäger has staged a modern fairy tale that becomes an endearing homage to Mathias Gnädinger. He died on Good Friday 2015.

Skull And Stare Alone

"Skull And Stare Alone" Functions As A Crystallization Of A Majorly Traumatic Experience I Went Through In 2024. The Specifics Will Be Cryptically Concretized Within The Work Itself, But I Regard It As Obligatory To Say That This Is Most Definitely My Most Painful Film Thus Far. Within That Vein, I Declare That “Personal Cinema”(The Same Applies To Poetry) Is No Comfortably Palatable & Digestible Commodity, Which Is Beguilingly Incarcerated Within The Deafening Cesspool Of Perfectionistic Rejectivity And The Abject Dynamisms Of Mute Consumption, As It Is So Cozily Prevalent Nowadays. Rather It Is Passionately Embracing The Rhizomatic Horrors And Within That The Abyssal Beauty Inscribed Into Being’s Innate “Uncollapsedness”, For Such Films Function As Genuine & Incommensurable Testaments Of Ourselves And The Spiritual Fabric Of Our Vast Experiential Tumultuousness.

Vampire Vienna

Walter is a somewhat church-weary, washed-up exorcist who prefers to spend his free time sipping beer. His tranquil life changes when he suspects he's encountered a vampire. Disorganized, he attempts to track him down and confront him—who else would do it? The centuries-old, sinister Blood Prince, on the other hand, pompous and self-absorbed, is enthusiastic about the new world he's encountered and helpless in the face of its technological and social advancements. Times of open hostility are interspersed with moments of rapprochement, but it soon becomes clear: Vienna isn't big enough for both. A vampire film that juggles the genre's trappings with a wink, charmingly sidestepping all conventions as an entertaining comedy. Sometimes by force.
