A rookie golfer must cope with the stress of fame after a marketing executive transforms her into a sports celebrity.

Shihomi Etsuko plays a race car driver who also lends out her services to the Japanese Secret Service. Although there really isn't much of a "chase" to be seen, Shihomi does pursue a cartel of drug runners and assorted Japanese yakuza types. While the story is pure 70's exploitation and gritty crime drama, the best reason to see it is for the Martial Arts Action of Etsuko Shihomi. The action is over-the-top and at times hilarious (i.e. Shihomi battling the lead criminal atop a moving gondola or Shihomi battling a whip-wielding Catholic Nun).

The story is set in 1970 during the time of the first EXPO in Japan. The film’s main figure is a miner who suddenly becomes unemployed because the mine he worked in was shut down. He decides to resettle with his whole family to Hokkaido in northern Japan and start a new life as a farmer.

Not long after he married, Yoo Shin has to enter the army leaving behind his wife Jil Rye and daughter Yong Bun. He is taken a prisoner of war in a battlefield. With the camera in love between them, the real Mayumi Mitome and the Mayumi in the film are in honest agreement, and there is a freshness to the film that leaves no room for the viewer to question or feel any directorial intent. In the last part of the film, Mayumi arrives at the beach of Enoshima and says, "I'm going to America to swim in this film," and as she changes into a bathing suit and jumps into the sea, she says, "She really went to America. When she changed into her bathing suit and jumped into the sea, the narrator said, "She really went to America, don't you believe me? The film is symbolized by her reply to the camera, "Yes!
