Le festin des animaux

In the heart of our forests, the death of an animal is synonymous with a feast. In the Bavarian Forest National Park, a team of researchers is trying to gain a better understanding of the phenomena and interactions that accompany animal corpses. Little is known about the complex cycle of death in woodland species: larvae developing in carcasses, organisms modifying their chemical composition, plants transforming the nutrients contained in corpses... From the tiniest mouse to the imposing red deer, decomposing bodies provide refuge for tiny life forms and become a source of food for opportunists.

La guerre commerciale des superpuissances

Is it the new Cold War, this time fought with the weapons of tariffs and counter-tariffs? The trade conflict between America and China is an unprecedented economic clash between two superpowers. It goes back to the trade policy credo of US President Donald Trump: "America first!" As a result, the USA imposed numerous tariffs of 25% on Chinese imported products in 2018. China responds with counter-tariffs. The trade dispute between the two largest economies escalated in 2020, causing a tremor that shook Europe and the entire world.

Valle di Bucatoggio

Go infinitely down and up the valley without ever touching the ground. To be carried away by the movement of the machine which, without flickering for a fraction of a second, operates perfectly vertically to the hillsides its description. Feel every vibration of the branches and leaves, recognise the living disorder of the flight of the midges and the poetry of that of the butterflies. Head in the stars, feet on the ground, the body sways. Eyes pointing at the Milky Way, the wind of the valley blows the full-bodied smells of a thousand plants that you cannot smell without being there. If the savage tends to disappear in appearance, he still resists the images. And perhaps it is this impossibility that brings lightness into our hearts.

Pas en mon nom !

Does being Jewish mean that Israel's policy must be systematically defended? Does criticizing Israel automatically make you an anti-Semite? Does declaring yourself anti-Zionist and pro-Palestinian imply de facto that you are not racist? All these questions, Daniel Kupferman, whose membership in the Jewish community is in no way opposed to his humanism, has been asking himself for years and here he is asking them to eight quality people, a guarantee of a fruitful dialogue far from any hateful or partisan blindness.
