Starring: Laurent Assuid, layout artist/graphic designer for Metaluna, and writer for the mag ; Aude Boutillon, editorial secretary for Metaluna, writer and photographer for a good chunk of the mag's photos ; Rurik Sallé, co-creator of Metaluna with JPP, co-editor-in-chief of the mag then editor-in-chief, and writer for the mag ; Julien Savès, writer for Metaluna. Fuck yeah!

Les Lumières de Vallot

Joseph Vallot, geographer, naturalist and mountaineer born in 1854 in Lodève, was a visionary man, full of humor and whose curiosity was insatiable. He had spent some forty years of his life studying the Mont Blanc massif, sacrificing a good part of his fortune to this multifaceted passion. He was notably the first to demonstrate that one could sleep, work and even do science at an altitude of over 4000 meters, at a time when ascents to the summit of Western Europe were still adventurous expeditions. This documentary tribute follows in his footsteps, via the route taken at the time, on foot from Chamonix via the Grands Mulets refuge to the summit of Mont Blanc to the Joseph Vallot observatory nestled at an altitude of 4400m, with a team of guides, journalists and scientists.

Underneath the Sequence, Rage: a History of Drag

The art of drag represents an artistic transformation where individuals create characters by amplifying gendered traits, challenging established social norms. This practice, known for its spectacular performances, has evolved through periods of repression and acceptance. Through humor and self-mockery, drag disrupts conventions and is deeply rooted in the history of LGBT+ movements. This documentary traces the history of Drag in France and around the world, from William Dorsey Swann—a young emancipated slave considered the first drag queen—to RuPaul, Nicky Doll, and Paloma. Featuring contributions from historians, anthropologists, and sociologists specialized in drag, as well as testimonies from drag artists who are shaping or have shaped this history.

Un caillou dans la chaussure

Two years after the May 13th, 2024, uprising in Kanaky-New Caledonia, the political situation in the archipelago still hasn't budged. From failed negotiations to vain attempts to force through change, the French government keeps trying to destroy a 40-year-old peace process by trying to exclude the Kanak liberation front (Front de libération nationale kanak et socialiste) and its president, Christian Tein. After being detained for a year in continental France, the independantist leader and his comrades have resumed their work. They tell of their fight for the independence of their country, the ravages of colonisation and the mistreatment they have endured from the French government since the May 13th uprising.
