Queen Camilla: the Wicked Stepmother?

The inside story on how Camilla transformed her image from hated royal mistress to much-loved monarch. In this new film, friends, allies and journalists reveal Camilla's route from debutant in the sixties, through scandals of the nineties, to the triumph of the Coronation, revealing what her ascendency means for the monarchy, and examining claims that her transformation destroyed her relationship with her stepson, Prince Harry. In his controversial autobiography, Prince Harry accused Camilla of sacrificing him to a vicious PR campaign to clean up her own image. He's described her as his “wicked stepmother”, claiming she is "dangerous”. This revealing film questions whether these shocking accusations could possibly be true.

The Dream of Delphi - A New Transmission

The Dream of Delphi - A New Transmission is a visual narrative that accompanies the calling, the creating and birthing of a child, with an exploration of both the human rawness that surrounds that experience and the mythical and universal realisations that have occurred for Natasha during her journey of motherhood. The dance pieces include partner work that explores the pressures, bonding, and tenderness that occurs when lovers become parents, and the dances with the two women hint at Natasha’s relationship with the midwives, the best friends and the sisterhood she felt she so badly needed around the birth of her daughter.

My Friend Lanre

Regan first documented his friend’s life in the 1998 film Don’t Get High on Your Own Supply. Fehintola became hooked on heroin while working on a book about a group of drug addicts. Regan caught up with him again in the 2001 film Cold Turkey, as Fehintola attempted to break his addiction by locking himself in his flat without medication. My Friend Lanre jumps two decades, to a moment when Fehintola has been diagnosed with terminal cancer. Regan never set out to document someone dying, but this is what his film becomes. Drawing from over 25 years of footage, the filmmaker presents an intensely intimate portrayal of his friendship and collaboration with Fehintola. It is charming, funny, devastating and, by its close, a bravely personal, living testament to one person’s life and work.

Listening All Night to the Rain

Listening All Night To The Rain continues John Akomfrah’s abiding interest in post-colonialism, ecology and the politics of aesthetics with a renewed focus on the sonic. Drawing its title from Chinese writer and artist Su Dongpo’s (1037 - 1101) poetry that meditates upon the transitory nature of life during a period of political exile, the exhibition is seen as a manifesto that encourages the act of listening as a form of activism. Conceived as a single landscape or artwork organised into song-like movements or ‘cantos’ that are inspired by American poet Ezra Pound’s (1885 - 1972) journey through history in The Cantos (1925), the exhibition brings together eight multimedia and sound installations.
