The documentary deals with the loss that the former extreme sportsman is still coming to terms with today. He is caught between holding on and letting go of the old Stuzi in a life he never thought he would live. But he doesn't give in so easily, as Stuzi soon sets off on his journey again. Windgeist is a patient portrait of a flourishing life in a sobering reality.

In the short film Inside the box, we explore social injustices, prejudices against foreign fellow citizens, and the German passport, which is believed to make everything better.

The "Campus Ghosts" project is a collective work by Goethe University students studying different subjects and programmes at the TFM Institute. The idea for the film was developed as part of the seminar "Das hat Format" led by Gunter Deller in the winter semester 2023/24.

This lively ritual is not only a sign of respect and remembrance for the dead, it also allows family members to share Buddhist merit with their departed relatives and make sure they cross safely into a heavenly abode. “Woe betide those who are not guided on their journey,” warns one singer-performer, “they will find themselves wandering henceforth forevermore.” Compellingly and discreetly filmed in well-composed camera shots, this documentary invites the viewer to take a seat amid this fascinating Karen ceremony.

While this project is tied directly to the war in Syria, the model stands as a universal reminder of the horrors of war in general, as well as the power of memory.
