Honest retired Judge Justice Deenanath live a happy life-style with his wife and two sons, advocate Ravi and inspector Sunil. One day Ravi brings home a poor girl Sharda to rehabilitate as she has no place to live after her dad expires. The family takes a liking to Sharda and subsequently arranges Ravi and Sharda's wedding. But on the wedding day a jailbird Jankidas suddenly arrives; claiming Sharda to be his wife and providing evidence to prove as such. Everyone is shocked including the Mayor, Kishanchand. Hereafter nothing is the same for the family anymore with Deenanath passing away out of shock; Ravi leaves the house, gets married to Sharda, gets into a fight with Jankidas which ended up leaving one of his henchman dead and is subsequently arrested by his younger brother inspector Sunil.

Gangster Pasha has brought up young Suraj as his own son, and has taught him all the skills needed for theft, break & enter, and acting as a hitman. Years later, Suraj has grown up and has become an expert in these skills. The law does catch up to him, and he is imprisoned. When he completes his sentence, he re-enters his world of crime with Pasha. One day he meets up with beautiful Aarti, and falls in love with her. Aarti too is attracted to him, and eventually falls in love with him. When Aarti finds out about his profession, she is dismayed and shocked, and will not have anything to do with him, unless and until he promises to give up on this career. Suraj does so, only to find Aarti's boyfriend Inspector Vijay to out to arrest him by hook or by crook on one hand, and on the other Pasha has ordered his death.

Chinmay, a young doctor, faces societal resistance when he returns to his village to open a clinic. Despite opposition from the village baidya and sarpanch's son, Chinmay's clinic begins to thrive with the help of Harijan youth Ramu and Sulochana. Anuradha, Chinmay's love interest, supports his efforts, but Gajanan, the sarpanch's son, becomes the main villain and ultimately causes Chinmay's death. Anuradha stays in the village to continue supporting Chinmay's work. The movie explores themes of love and societal challenges.

Anand lives a wealthy lifestyle in Bombay in a palatial house, and runs a business 'Export India'. Sharda soon settles in, establishes a Devi Maa Durga Mandir, but will find her life turning upside down when she discovers a deadly secret from Anand's past.

Rajesh (Nagarjuna) is a racy youngster who falls in love with Alekhya (Rajani). Things go well when Rajesh and Alekhya plan to get married and it is when a root of suspicion lands in Rajesh’s mind through a friend. The suspicion is something about the character of Alekhya and when Rajesh enquires about it, the latter gets furious. She questions Rajesh asking how can he suspect her by believing a friend’s word and also comes to a conclusion that his love is not worth of accepting. The impulsive natured Rajesh also finds her questioning arrogant and the couple breaks up. But the real trouble starts for Rajesh after Alekhya leaves him and he starts feeling sorry for his impulsive nature. Alekhya marries another guy (Sudhakar) shown by her parents and Rajesh is distraught. The rest of the story is about what would happen to Rajesh and whether Alekhya forgives him or not.

After businessman Ram Pratap Singh (Raj Babbar) gives police information pertaining to a journalist's murder, gangster Jagmohan (Danny Denzongpa) goes to prison for the crime. Soon, Singh's life turns upside down when Jagmohan's cohorts begin peppering him with threats. Helped by Inspector Sharma (Suresh Oberoi), he goes into the witness protection program with his wife and child, but the cover may not be enough to keep them safe.

Vishal (Rishi Kapoor) comes from a wealthy Hindu family. His father is well known Chandraprakash Singh (Amrish Puri), and his mom is a housewife, Sharda (Asha Parekh). Vishal falls in love with a young Catholic girl, Ruby Miranda (Farha). Ram and Balram are 2 young boys who live with their loving parents. Their scheming uncle, Jagatpal, however kills the boy's father and mother. Jagatpal lies to the boys that their parents have been killed in an accident and promises to raise them himself. He enrolls the younger brother Balram, in school and eventually sends him off to join the police force. The older becomes a mechanic. Jagatpal has a tight hold on the boys, even when Ram is an adult, he still gives all his wages to his uncle and is only allowed to keep a few rupees for pocket money.

Krishnattam or Krishnanattam (Play of Krishna) is a temple ritualistic art performed at Guruvayur Temple (Guruvayur 680101, Trishshur District, Kerala) by a troupe owned by Guruvayur Devasvam. The performance of Krishnattam is based on Krishnagiti, a poetic text in Sanskrit containing verses and stanzas, written by the Zamorin King Manavedan in 1654. The story of Krishna, described in Bhagavata, Mahabharata and Harivamsha is presented in Krishnattam as songs, dance and acting in a sequence of eight plays (Avataram, Kaliyamardanam, Rasakrida, Kamsavadham, Svayamvaram, Banayuddham, Vividavadham and Svayamvaram) in eight days.

A love story between a Tamil man a North Indian woman, who are neighbours in Goa. They come from totally different backgrounds and can hardly speak the other's language. A story about the trials and tribulations of retired soldier Satyapati and his sons

Season is a 1989 Malayalam-language Indian feature film directed Padmarajan, starring Mohanlal and Gavin Packard in lead roles. The film, though a failure at the box office, stands apart because of Padmarajan's story-telling style, unconventional plot and characters, realistic portrayal of drug trade in Kovalam and flawless performance of Mohanlal and is considered now as a cult classic. The story is set in the beautiful locales of Kovalam beach in Kerala and Poojappura Central Prison, Trivandrum. In spite of the film's commercial failure at the time, Season is now considered to be amongst the best revenge thriller classics ever made in Malayalam and Mohanlal's performance in the movie stands apart because of his unconventional style of acting in such a complex plot. The film also showed how narration can be used as a strong tool in storytelling. Many feel that this movie was much ahead of time and if it would have released in late nineties, would have done good business.

A young village girl learns martial arts to avenge her family.

Bitter animosity and hatred has existed between the communities of Jangavar and Dilavar. While Dilavar's Roshan wants to bring peace between everyone, he sets an example by marrying Chandni. The film marked the acting debut of Nassar. The movie begins with a group of six women who live together as friends after their attempt at living a successful married life is thwarted due to various reasons, majorly because of men, sexual abuse, dowry harassment and the backward society. They also form a music band called "kalyana agathigal" to raise funds for charity to the underprivileged. Ammulu, a young runaway girl, joins the gang of girls and becomes a part of the household. The story is about how their lives make wild twists and turns as they cope with the society and try to find true love.
