Super Mario World: Mario & Yoshi's Adventure Land

In the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario and Luigi receive a postcard from Princess Peach, inviting them to join her in Dinosaur Land. The brothers then board an airplane to visit them. While on the plane, Mario tests out the Terebikko phone Luigi brought to call the viewer watching. When the plane lands on Yoshi's Island, however, they find an empty airport and are suddenly interrupted by Bowser appearing through stormy clouds in the sky. He announces he has taken Princess Peach captive and challenges the brothers to go to his castle, before disappearing. Mario and Luigi then set out, determined to rescue her.

In Tensho 9, as Oda Nobunaga nears the unification of Japan, he assigns trusted generals to conquer remaining regions. Meanwhile, a peasant farmer named Sahei, resembling Nobunaga, is chosen by Hideyoshi and Sen no Rikyu to act as Nobunaga’s shadow. Furious at the idea of a double, Nobunaga confronts Sahei, who courageously performs the "Atsumori" dance, impressing Nobunaga enough to accept him as his Kagemusha. Sahei’s first test as the shadow warrior comes at a memorial service for the Oda family.

The River with No Bridge

A widow and her two sons, Seitaro and Koji, live in the small town of Komori, where Buraku people are forced to reside. The two boys are continuously harassed by their teachers and classmates through their childhood as a result of their Buraku heritage. In the midst of the 1918 Great Rice Riots in Osaka, Seitaro meets with Asako, the daughter of a rice shop owner, and falls in love with her. She too is of Buraku descent. At the same period, Hideaki, an old friend of the brothers returns to Komori, and he along with Koji and the townspeople create "Zenkoku Suiheisha", the National Levelers Association, an organization pledged to build a bridge over the river of discrimination, making all people equal in every way.

Once again, the story starts with a detective trying to unravel the story of a man and a woman encountering a bandit-rapist in the woods, but the real story keeps turning out to be unfathomable as layer upon layer of strange motives and events keep turning up.

Igarashi Kozue, a nurse at a Tokyo university hospital, feels bored with her job despite her experience. Yamazaki Natsumi, a younger nurse, is enthusiastic. Shibata Yuichi, a soccer student, is admitted with a fracture and a tumour, facing potential amputation. Igarashi helps Yamazaki support Yuichi, but Yamazaki resigns due to lost confidence. Yuichi’s frustration leads to a misunderstanding, causing him and Igarashi to resign. A soccer match for former cancer patients, organised by Professor Oiwa, helps Yuichi regain hope.

The drama "Dark Hunter" is based on the novel by Shotaro Ikenami, who is best known for his TV series Onihei Hankacho, Kenkaku Shobai and Fujieda Baian's Shikake-nin. The film version directed by Hideo Gosha is well known, but this version is more faithful to the original.

Dragon Blue

Mayuko is a feng shui expert who, in a nearly absurd rush of exposition in the first scene of Dragon Blue, discovers that she is the blood heir of the Dragon Clan and a born demon hunter. It's a completely unmotivated but thoroughly spooky encounter between Mayuko and a demonic ghost, and she's saved by an ancient priest spirit who explains her legacy. "Why does this always happen to me?" she ponders before flying off to a remote island to investigate an ancient curse and battle a legendary Sea Demon. Mayuko befriends a burly, chivalrous detective and a little orphan boy nicknamed "the Devil's Child" who hides his own dark secret.
