Sexo, drogas, rock 'n' roll y política. Instituto Santamarca, 1975–1985

After Franco's death in 1975, Spanish society experienced a period of hope and political struggle, as well as a remarkable change in social customs. Santamarca High School, in Madrid, faithfully embodied that time: it was at the forefront of student and anti-fascist struggles, hosted an intense cultural activity, and generated relationships between teachers and students that were unusual for today's times. Years later it also suffered the general evolution of the country, from militancy to hedonism.

Nos Movemos. Protagonistas

People with and without disabilities participate in a social integration project, a performing arts laboratory where they work horizontally and create dance-theater performances that are the result of teamwork and improvisation. In this documentary, the protagonists with different abilities explore their experiences during rehearsals for Bodas de sangre (Blood Wedding) by Federico García Lorca, a play that has already been written and that they will have to perform as a group.

Limbo

Limbo is an open door to a world where the imagination of our inner child reigns. A dreamlike place full of magic and adventures. It is inescapable to cross this boundary, and it always generates resistance to discover what lies beyond this life. Once there, we must confront one of the most important decisions: to stay in a life full of love or return to the life we already know. Iris passes through this limit after an accident in a river, where she meets Indigo, who guides her around this new world. Exploring this oneiric realm moves Iris as she discovers the innocence behind death. Knowing what comes after life brings about a paradigm shift that leads her to an unexpected final decision.

The Wooden Man

Gestated in the fibers of environmental exploitation and the gears of capitalist machinery, the wooden man emerges as a personification of the fears and complexities of our era. We witness fragments of his existence in a film disguised as a defective and forgotten VHS tape, documenting a solitary struggle for survival in a world that both creates and rejects its own monsters. A recording of a performative intervention in public space, where the artist himself embodies a contemporary monster. Cloaked in a minimalist disguise, his presence disrupts the city's rhythm, creating small circuit breaks in the perception of passersby.
