The young girl sights Venus strolling through these landscapes, an ‘agent provocateur’ from the country of myth. A filmmaker, In whose imagination this plot is unraveling, approaches a group of producers to fund his film "Aphrodite". The film begins to shift back and forth between archaic and modern notions of myth, highlighting the distinctions between myth and story and the relationships between history and biography.

In San Salvario, the area in Turin with the largest number of immigrants, an unemployed photographer adapts himself to working for them. They are eager to send their families and friends at home pictures proving their success in Italy. After being fired from the local newspaper and practically penniless, the protagonist gets more sympathy from the San Salvario foreign people than from his fellow citizens, who seem to be only interested in the profit they can make with multi-ethnic contacts.
Walter Cherubini, in the middle of the night, receives a mysterious phone call in the editorial office. This is the widow Mazzanti, admitted to a famous private clinic in Parma, who claims to be held prisoner. The next day, the opera singer Marinelli, also a guest at the facility, was found dead. The reporter, having infiltrated the clinic and aided in the investigation by a nurse, will be able to unravel the mystery.

Pietro Dal Prà is one of the most famous Italian rock climbers. In the documentary we see him climbing Bec D'Ajal, in the Ampezzo Dolomites. He follows a solo ascent on the “Paolo VI” route to the Pilastro della Tofana di Rozes. The two ascents are a starting point and an opportunity for Pietro to tell about his world of mountaineering and climbing, a sort of journey into the world of vertical in the company of unusual climbing companions, the backpack, fear and emotions.

Costante dies and leaves his wife Torella his computer discovery. Torella entrusts the disk to her husband’s friend Gervasio, a lazy man scorned by his family. Twenty years later, Torella tries to get back the disk but Gervasio, who has become rich thanks to the discovery, agrees to go to court over it and comes away the winner. He therefore summons divine misfortune: he loses his third son, suffocated by wealth; kills his wife in a blind rage; and is executed by his first-born son who, after a violent panic attack and reckoning with his conscience, chooses life.

Andrea, Maurizio and Sergio are professional idlers, lazy, indolent and full of inventiveness. Maurizio is engaged to the policewoman Anna, of whom he is extremely jealous, Sergio still lives with his mother and Andrea is tyrannized by his wife and his brother-in-law, a former boxer. When a crew arrives in town to shoot a commercial, Andrea and Sergio meet two actresses; in the meantime, Maurizio is dumped by Anna. The three spend a large sum of money on a scratch card to travel to Sardinia in search of the actresses in the commercial.
