Designing the Burtonesque

This film delves into Burton’s unique approach to world-building. From the context of the room – designed to evoke the historic movie palaces that Burton frequented as a child – to the content of the film, Burton’s enduring relationship with cinema is evident throughout. Designing the Burtonesque features interviews with frequent collaborators, such as production designer Rick Heinrichs, and clips from films that have inspired him, like Ray Harryhausen’s "The 7th Voyage of Sinbad" (1958). It provides a close analysis of stop motion animation and reveals Burton’s contributions to the advancement of this special craft.

She had hits like A New England and Days and sang a key part in one of the nation’s favourite Christmas songs, Fairytale of New York. Where Have You Been

30 years after the genocide-the first in Europe since World War II-survivors in Bosnia and Herzegovina persist in their quest to find their missing loved ones. This film traces the homecoming of Bosnian-American artist Aida Sehovic and her participatory, nomadic monument to the Srebrenica Genocide. With the monument coming to its final resting place after traveling the world for 15 years, those who remain gather at the site of the atrocities to fill thousands of small ceramic coffee cups in memory of the victims. As they collectively mourn, painful questions endure: What does "never again" mean in a world where perpetrators live with impunity? How do art and empathy help fill the void left by immeasurable loss and trauma?
