Samedi soir

Samedi soir (Saturday night) is an intimate, carnal and reflective dive into contemporary youth. For one night, we follow four groups of young adults of different sociology, in the four corners of the country. With their differences, these complementary groups draw the contours of French youth. In this film, we try to listen to their desires and their dreams, without losing the sincerity and the energy of their evenings. A village party, a feminist collage, the last train station, a Parisian nightclub... These young people cross and overlap, dialogue and answer each other. Each group deals with a social issue and embodies a contemporary challenge. This film is also a collective psychoanalysis, where these young people talk about their doubts, their friendships and their loves, their studies, their commitments or their work. Because Saturday night is above all a time for sharing and letting go.

Ça suffit main'ant !

For this new adventure, the Maudru family will indeed be reunited once again. Aimé, the father, of course—who, as always, will once more try to voice his outrage against a society that's too "modern" for him and that he feels oppressed by. His wife Louise will be there, thankfully, to try and calm him down and bring him back to a version of reality that's a bit offbeat as well, but pragmatic and reassuring: her own. Their nephew Désiré will still be as delightfully unhinged, brilliantly simple-minded, and philosophical as ever: sunshine in August, meat pie with crust!

La Voix

The images of this short film are linked to the concrete music by Michel Chion, and let the monologue of Saint Antoine (Pierre Schaeffer's voice) unfold and offer itself completely. The imagery, presented in parallel pictures, is intended to be earthy and close to nature, rediscovering, when necessary, the material which is offered in a metaphor surrounded by mists. At the sound of the gunshot, concrete in the music, occurs this break in the discourse, and the image, like this gunshot, finds the Asian connotation of death. And the dream raises the human form, then a face which offers itself before disappearing in the tumults of an imaginary sea. The earth seen from the sky then the sky itself take us very far (Robert Cahen)

The Lost Souls of Syria

Twenty-seven thousand photos of corpses, and bodies tortured in detention centers of the Syrian regime, are leaked in 2014 by a mysterious deserter with the code name "Caesar". Because of the geopolitical interests of some countries and the indifference of other nations, international justice refuses to prosecute the regime of Bashar Al Assad responsible for crimes reminiscent of Nazi or Khmer barbarism. Filmed throughout Europe over nearly four years between 2016 and 2020, the film recounts the behind-the-scenes and twists and turns of investigations and proceedings that will lead to the issuance of arrest warrants for the highest officials of Bashar al Assad's administration for crimes against humanity.
