Berta and Nora, sisters, spend one last weekend together at the family house on the Costa Brava. The silence between them reveals what neither knows how to say.

Camera in hand, I set out to seek Pena, a Galician word that means both a large, prominent rock and a feeling of pain or anguish. From the point of view of someone trying to name the world for the first time, this audiovisual notebook is created to explore some of the most unique rock formations amid the landscape in which I grew up, in the Terra Chá local region (Galicia).

Structured as a diptych, Level captures two distinct chapters: the first in the Netherlands, where Anna mourns her father’s passing amidst the open landscapes and dikes of Usquert; the second in Spain, where Anna and Carlos welcome their son Leo and renovate a historic house in the ancient valley of Miera.

A documentary film about the story of MCA, a political organization that emerged from the anti-Franco movement, and which played a key role in the Transition and the 1980s in the structuring of new social movements, feminist, pacifist or environmental, as well as in numerous neighborhood and trade union struggles, and more specifically in the case of Asturias in the linguistic reclamation movement or in the renewal of the San Mateo festivities with the chiringuito Pinón Folixa.

Dana and Lydia are facing a serious trust issue in their relationship. Filmed at Seville’s Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Humo, (smoke) combines dance and song in a tribute to the 19th century cigar makers who also inspired the character of Carmen from the famous opera. Choreographer Rafaela Carrasco creates portraits that reveal diverse lives that often contradict clichés of the past and present.

On the eve of a birthday, an unexpected tragedy shakes a small lower-middle-class family, forcing them to come together and face grief and uncertainty together.

After a night of absolute drunkenness, Roberta, Valeria, and Sandra wake up with an impending hangover. Over the course of the morning, that state of boredom and physical discomfort leads them to reveal their most tender sides, but also their most painful ones, ultimately strengthening the friendship between the three of them.
