Made immediately after the murder of Margarida Maria Alves, the film captures the raw emotions of the community in the aftermath and follows the investigation into the crime. Barroso uses various tools to tell the story, contrasting images from the offices of the authorities' responsible for investigating the murder with interviews with family members, testimonies from residents of Alagoa Grande, and the public commotion surrounding the event. We are invited to stare unflinchingly into a harsh reality of violence and impunity, but also of fortitude and bravery of the people in the face of injustice.

Homenagem a George Segal [Tribute to George Segal] began as a photoperformance conducted in 1975 and became, ten years later, in Lenora’s first videoperformance, inspired by the lonely, pathetic figures by the American sculptor. The foam gradually overflows, completely covering her face and head, giving her an aspect similar to Segal’s eerie characters.

Two thousand fishermen, living in a 50-kilometer stretch of the coast of Rio de Janeiro, between Macaé and Cabo Frio, are threatened with paralyzing their activities. An anhydrous alcohol production plant, located on the banks of the São João River, is causing water pollution, with the indiscriminate release of "vinhoto", a by-product of sugar cane. It prevents the penetration of sunlight into rivers and compromises their oxygenation. Pollution, carried by the current, is already reaching the sea waters. Fishermen, scientists and technicians denounce the plant's procedure, which puts the health of the region's inhabitants and the traditional fishing economy at risk."
