Flow is the beginning of the rhythm. Movement within flow is continuous, measured, and can often feel, feel cold, cold to the plunge, to the touch, the body needs a warmup. Let the body move you, not you the body, what the fuck does that mean? It represents beginning, arriving and falling, the end of a journey. A path come to a stop. Flail in the wind, succumb to the current, let the dust in the wind speak for your scaffold. Part 1 of 5.

A moving short documentary that tells the inspiring story of Cipriano González, a local hero from Toledo, Spain, whose dedication to those most in need transformed the community over nearly seven decades. From his humble birth in Mensalbas in 1936 during the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War to the founding of the NGO Socorro de los Pobres, this documentary weaves a moving story of altruism and unconditional love. Through intimate interviews with family members, NGO volunteers, and those whose lives were touched by his generosity, the film delves into the heart of a man who, moved by his own experience with poverty, committed himself to ensuring that "no one would go without a plate of food on the table."
El Amigo de los Pobres
The weather is becoming increasingly extreme, and the damage it causes ever more massive. The reason for these changes: Climate change is causing air temperatures to rise. For every degree of warming, the atmosphere can absorb seven percent more water vapor. As a result, precipitation and thunderstorms are becoming more frequent and intense, and hailstones are becoming ever larger. The consequences are fatal. Extreme precipitation, hail, storms, and thunderstorms destroy cars, roofs, crops, and livelihoods. In Germany alone, the German Insurers' Association has calculated total damages of €5.7 billion for 2023.

In the heart of Sardinia lies a table mountain: difficult to access, deserted, and barren. Here live hundreds of feral horses of an ancient breed – and among them, a quirky loner, the last of a long line of sheep and goat herders. The Giara di Gesturi volcanic plateau, with its cork oaks and lakes, is one of the world's last landscapes where feral horses gallop freely. Rain floods the meadows in winter, and during the droughts in summer, the shallow, temporary lakes dry up completely.

Looking into the Distance is a film shot on the island of Lanzarote that focuses its narrative on observing the horizon. The film is structured around a series of camera movements (upward and downward) and presents different encounters between landscapes and frames, as well as a rhythmic progression that attempts to exhaust all possible combinations until it confuses what is below with what is above, the sky with the earth, darkness with light.

In the heart of the Ecuadorian Amazon, Yasuni National Park is one of the richest biotopes on the planet. This 10,220 km² territory is home to 1,335 known species of animal and 2,700 known species of plant, with no doubt many more to discover. The Kichwas and Huaoranis live here, as do the Tagaeri and Taromenane communities in voluntary isolation. For several decades now, these root peoples have seen their territory and culture threatened by oil extraction activities. They are fighting to raise awareness of the richness of the forest and the importance of protecting it. At the end of 2023, a team of scientists led by herpetologist (reptile and amphibian specialist) Damien Lecouvey spent 30 days and 30 nights in the jungle. Their objective: to inventory potential new animal and plant species, and take stock of known species, in order to help preserve them.

A documentary by the Dossier Center tells the story of Russian volunteers who have joined Ukraine's side and are fighting for its liberation. In Russia, these individuals are labeled as terrorists: they have crossed into the Kursk and Belgorod regions armed and engaged in battles with the Russian army. These volunteers made a choice that severed ties with their families and friends. Dossier journalists traveled to the frontlines to explore what drives these Russians to take up arms against their compatriots. This film is not only a chronicle of the war in Ukraine but also an exploration of deep moral conflicts. It is a story of traitors, heroes, and their tragic futures.
