One of Jeff Keen's diary films. Keen made many diary films with his daughter, wife and friends in the late 60s and 70s. These were edited in camera and used multiple exposures. They would then be projected in various combinations though usually as a four-screen.

... Klaus Wyborny's "Six little Pieces on Film" is the type of work that one is more accustomed to see in Sohos's showcases. Its a Structural film comprised of five or six sequences. Within each there are a set number of shots or kinds of shots which are repeated with variations in camera speed, shot length and processing. Wyborny's subjects include a harbor, a house, an urban street and industrial sites. At tiomes the images fly by so fast that we struggle to recognize them. When the cutting slows down, we can begin to get a sense of place but then the editing will speed up again and the images are turned into elaborate rhythmic patterns. The kinds of perceptual experiences the film affords are characteristic of the Structural genre rather than innovative, but pleasurable nonetheless. ....

Ultimately, Grete returns home, teaching Joseph that his rigid world only seems turbulent to himself.

The idyllic, rural past of a Suffolk village comes to life through the memories of an old man who tends a country graveyard.

Tenants of one old building in the centre of Münich are featured in this film: most of them are foreigners who work in Germany as "guest workers" (Yugoslavs, Italians, Turks, Greeks etc.). In their mother tongue, each of them tells who he or she is, and briefly talks about their major worries, new hopes and plans for the future.

Emmental is lovely. To us, it looks like something out of a picture book. And this kind of landscape always has a history. And many good artists come from this landscape. And then the cows in this landscape. In Emmental, there are cows that look at passers-by sweetly, with big, pure cow eyes--and gaze after them. Long... In Emmental, each hill has a north side and a warm, beautiful south side. The filmmaker and sheep farmer, Guido Haas, live on the north side of a hill in Emmental, which is called Cold Ground and his house lies low in the valley and is a real Emmental house, with a raised driveway to the barn and a big shingle roof on top. Spiteful, rich neighbors must have gotten the idea of calling it Foxhole.

As a young girl living in an institution for girls where the nights are restless, Iphis decides to accompany her godfather who is going on a cruise on a yacht. To avoid the problems that would be caused by the presence of a young woman on board, Iphis, dressed as a boy, pretends to be the nephew of the man who is actually her godfather. Seeing her advances rejected by her uncle, Iphis, thanks to her disguise, seduces in turn the sailor, the son of a friend, a pretty girl hired as second mate and the real sailor. This removes all scruples from the uncle for the rest of the voyage.

Edgar Koltz travels back to Germany from his vacation destination on Mallorca. He is called out under this name shortly after landing at the airport. Koltz receives an envelope containing an address where he can obtain further information. Later, the driver of the 8:10 train discovers a body on the tracks. The police have to establish whether there is a connection between the discovery of the body and the bank robbery in Munich.

Antonio Barracano is a man who enforces his own law in the Sanità district, which is why he is recognized as the neighborhood's "mayor." He dispenses advice and opinions and solves the problems of poor people.

This film subtly contrasts banal reality with parody, using technical film techniques like time lapse and color filtering to parallel a home theater screening with a seduction scene. The director skillfully stimulates the viewer’s erotic imagination in a delicate and ironic manner, while also incorporating amateur film flaws dramaturgically and adding a socially critical, satirical element.

A young man, Jimmy known as “Kisss”, wanders on the bridges of Paris, carrying a sign “for rent”: he offers his services as a companion, in exchange for a can of tin per hour. He meets a young woman, Renée, who then takes him into her home. Both are maintained by Renée's sister, the naive Jacqueline. The latter works as a secretary for a businessman who pursues her with his attentions.

The architect Stefan Hellwig is to plan the construction of a housing estate for a hard stone factory in Tyrol. As his landlord Meier from Dortmund is on his way to Africa with his family, he gets a cheap ride to Tyrol. There, the Meiers are initially forced to make a stopover because their daughter Babsi is weak. While they finally abandon their plans for Africa to spend their vacation in Tyrol, the budding romance between Stefan and the local vet Karin seems to come to an abrupt end when she finds out why he is in Tyrol.

An experienced but aging captain in command of the Sofala must hide the fact that he is becoming blind.

An entrepreneur of social prestige gets intimate with the housekeeper, while his wife has a lover who is 20 years younger than her, whom she eventually loses to her nymphomaniac daughter.

A German TV-Drama.

This is a small, intense film based on Schoenberg’s opus of the same name with the subtitle “danger, fear, catastrophe”. It deals with emerging fascism and the persecution of Jews, as well as with their historical continuities.
