The Queen Swing

The Queen Swing follows climbers Laura Pineau and Kate Kelleghan as they chase history on Yosemite’s granite walls, attempting to become the first women to complete the legendary Triple Crown: linking El Capitan, Half Dome, and Mount Watkins in a single 24-hour push. But this isn’t just a story about summits and speed records. It’s about what happens between two people when the only thing keeping you alive is the person on the other end of the rope. Through extreme conditions and risky terrain, the film reveals how trust gets built in increments through shared confidence, quiet encouragement, and the kind of vulnerability that only emerges when you’re too exhausted to pretend. The Crown is the goal, but the partnership is the heart of the climb.

Mashenka

What happens when the boundaries between the observer and the subject are obliterated? When love appears not as a polished image, but in the guise of a homeless, drunk, and wounded person whom the world has turned its back on? This is a story about love that refuses to acknowledge the "social gutter". It is about equality that cannot be imposed, but can be experienced. In this film, reality rewrites the script. What was intended as a documentary about volunteers helping the homeless suddenly transforms into a chronicle of an impossible love affair. The film producer falls in love with the protagonist – a homeless man named Edik. The camera captures not only the social drama but an inner revolution which comes at a price. The struggle with addiction, rejection, the lure of the streets, and the fear of being authentic. Yet, against all odds, in this struggle we discern a radical act of recognizing humanity in someone who is usually overlooked.

Itam: A Sun Bear Story

Three years in the making, this remarkable documentary was filmed entirely in Sabah, Malaysia. It follows the rehabilitation and release of a rescued sun bear named Itam. Developed in close collaboration with the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, the production was granted rare access to archival records, veterinary logs, field operations, and the complete rewilding process. This access allows the film to move beyond surface observation into deeply-researched, character-driven storytelling. Combining immersive cinematic language with investigative scientific inquiry, ITAM: A SUN BEAR STORY positions Southeast Asian conservation stories within global discourse.

Vertical Remains

Time ascends as history sinks. Thirty-two upward-tilting shots, across British Columbia’s Lower Mainland, excavate histories of Indigenous presence, colonial violence, and ecological transformation. As image fades from colour to monochrome and sound descends against the camera’s rise, chronology collapses. Archival images, composite landscapes, and a descending sonic register unsettle linear narration, reframing the present as accumulated residue, and the land emerges as an unresolved stratigraphic archive, where history persists vertically beneath contemporary space.
