However, through incredible efforts, Chun-wi regains his strength and makes a clean sweep of Chun-pyo and his gang. Chun-wi punishes Suk-in, the enemy of his parents, and returns to his home country.

During the Korean War (1950~1953) Second Lieutenant Kim asks an old citizen Gang of Ssarigol village to hide seven stranglers of his unit, and then he leaves to follow his ranks. An armed force official from the North side, who used to be a farm servant of the town, enters the town with armed forces and threatens the town members to hand the hidden soldiers of the South side over to them. The seven South Korean soldiers cannot but to start a combat with the North Korean soldiers. By the time, Second Lieutenant Kim's unit arrives at the town to help them to defeat the enemy. Light reflects off the screen and reaches the audience's bodies, only to reflect again, faintly moving elsewhere. Sound also reflects off the walls, resonating and echoing. Light and sound do not disappear; they linger, sometimes intersecting by chance and sometimes passing by. Photosynthesis is an attempt to sensitively capture and respond to these fleeting moments.

His state of mind and condition is shown through the imaginary world where he turns into caramel; the most tired.

College friends Seo-eun, Seorae, and Dahye have turned 30. They meet up after not seeing each other for a long time, but unlike when they were young, they have awkward conversations that don't lead anywhere.

When Korea Highway Corporation is about to destroy the grave of O Gong-nyeo, the locals oppose the idea because they are worried of the legend of the grave. Heo, an engineer in charge of the construction, checks into a mountain lodge to investigate the legend. One night, he listens to O Gong-nyeo's grudge-filled story in his dream. However, he is too obsessed with his investigation and has been hallucinating. At last, he leaves the lodge and insists that the absurd legend is nothing but a superstition. He boldly pushes forward the construction project.

The work approaches the relation between digital objects and machines in the material dimension. Data is often embodied in advanced digital devices with glistening surface, yet the hardware of the machines becomes ‘junk’ as soon as its functionality fades and eventually gets thrown away. The work traces such material remnants in the processes of handling the electronic waste and recycling value chain, in which the mineral and metal that once belonged to electronic devices are re-absorbed into the reproduction cycle. Such processes of deterioration of digital objects are parallel to the history of resource extraction, and ultimately, geologic time.

Ship captain Lee Dae-geun falls in love with a showgirl named Eun-shil. When a North Korean spy is refused transport by Dae-geun, the agent atempts to kill him. Lee kills the man in self-defense, but is sent to prison. When released he finds his company bankrupt and his girlfriend being harassed by associates to the slain man. It is up to Dae-geun to save her and his business.

When he loses his sight during one of the battles of the Korean War, Geon-yeong(Choe Hyeon) is taken to a military hospital. There he meets a nursing officer named Hye-yeong(Hwang Yui-hui), but still misses Soon-hui in his hometown. When Geon-yeong's mother donates one of her eyes to him, he is no longer blind.

Do-sub is a member of a vagabond performance group. While performing his tightrope act at retired minister Lee's birthday banquet, Do-sub's eyes meet with Lee's daughter, Hyang-ah, and he falls to the ground. Due to his injuries, Do-sub ends up staying in Lee's barn. When Do-sub and Hyang-ah fall in love, Lee kills Do-sub and throws his body in the mountain. However, it turns out that Do-sub isn't quite dead so Hyang-ah runs away with him and looks for the performance group. To save his family's honor, Lee kills Hyang-ah's servant Yu-wol and holds a funeral for her, pretending that it is Hyang-ah. Now part of the performance group, Hyang-ah gives birth to a son and learns the traditional Korean masque dance from Old Man Song. When Hyang-ah learns of her father's death, she goes to his grave where her older brother, Byung-jun, grabs her and locks her up. The performance group convinces him to let her go.

One year after the Korean War, the conflict had reached a stalemate. The two opposing forces began to search for a way to end the grueling war of attrition, eventually settling on a modest village called ‘Pan Mun Jom’ near Gaeseong as the designated site for negotiations. Despite initial hopes for a quick resolution, the negotiating parties encountered obstacles that prevented an agreement. Disputes over the military demarcation line and the repatriation of prisoners of war thwarted their efforts. The film peels back the layers to reveal the untold story of Pan Mun Jom, shedding light on a history that has remained hidden until now.
