1UP - One United Power: Worldwide

Never before has there been a film like this. It tells the story of a crew of graffiti artists, from their beginnings in Berlin's Kreuzberg district to their global creative movement. It's about a crew bound by a selfless unity, whose name has propelled them to a level few other crews reach. Driven by the philosophy: One crew, one love. For eight years, "One Up" traveled the globe, spraying color like a dog marking walls. The film follows the artists on the subway through Berlin, in a tuk-tuk through Bangkok, barefoot in São Paulo, masked through Paris, with baklava in Istanbul, chased by street dogs in Bucharest, and back to the tram tunnels of Kreuzberg. It's an adrenaline-fueled film that shows what's possible in graffiti writing. Anything is possible.

Gefahrengebiete & andere Hamburgensien

Three demonstrations that overlapped and escalated shortly before Christmas 2013. The conflict over the Rote Flora, the right of residence for Lampedusa refugees, and the rescue of the Esso houses. In "Gefahrengebiete und andere Hamburgensien" (Danger Zones and Other Hamburg Trivia), director Rasmus Gerlach documented three sources of conflict in the city at that time: a pillow fight on Spielbudenplatz and the toilet brush as a symbol of resistance. The protests by Hamburg's citizens were creative and colorful when the police declared the districts of St. Pauli, Sternschanze, and large areas of Altona to be "danger zones." The highly controversial measure lasted only nine days before it was criticized and is now back in the spotlight—because although it has been declared unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court, the Hamburg police are sticking to the danger zones in St. Georg and St. Pauli.

Stay Behind: NATO's Shadow Warriors

For the first time, a member of the secret BND partisan force "Stay behind" reports on his mission during the Cold War. "Dieter Gerlach," as he was code-named, was supposed to set up resistance groups in the enemy's rear in the event of a Soviet occupation of the Federal Republic. The BND partisans practiced explosive attacks until the 1970s, and later radio and smuggling operations in occupied territory. When it became known in 1990 that the Italian partner organization of "Stay behind" was involved in terrorist attacks, the German government initially denied the existence of the partisan network.

I Didn't Cross the Border: The Border Crossed Me

Until a while ago, when Russian patrols started drawing the borderline and putting up barbed wire fences. In Churvaleti, the barbed wire fence goes right through the village. Families and communities got divided. Every other hour border patrols pass by and put anyone in captivity who come close to the fence. In spite of this menace, the villagers find ways to stay in touch with their relatives and friends across the line. Life goes on, but will it ever be the same again?

vitreous

The nine virtual sculptures underlying vitreous resulted from experimental setups by Robert Seidel for generating three-dimensional clusters of fibrous refractions, as well as the gravitational lensing of different volumetric and chromatic densities. Singular elements gravitate towards each other, accumulating in a gigantic sculptural system, where each entity exists with its own visual axis and vanishing point. The impalpable luminous formations create prismatic interactions between the ridges and plateaux of the main colours floating in front of the infinite violet background.
