"The Chair" comes from an idea I had when I was little. I went outside to collect a lot of discarded cables and stealthily pulled out Mercedes-Benz badge from a Benz car. Later, I went home and put the chair upside down, decorating it with cables and the badge. I sat in the chair for a whole night. At that moment I believed that I had made a time machine. The event has been hovering around my mind for a long time. The desire of being an artist perfectly motivates me to do this work again. The chair may be a real time machine. At least through the process of reproduction, it connects my childhood and the present. By means of being positioned as an art work, the trip from my studio to the gallery literally becomes my time travel in reality. In this work, I am always interested in the part of A-side. In fact, it is the making of C-side, which comprises barren routine and unnecessary events. I want this kind of boring video.

A Taiwanese husband and a Vietnamese wife, a dream about three goose eggs. According to a Vietnamese tradition, a pregnant woman has to eat three goose eggs before she gives birth, to ensure that her baby will grow healthy and smart. A husband wanders around Taiwan, for his wife and their baby, in search of three rare goose eggs.

In 1949, the Republic of China suffered a major defeat in the Chinese Civil War, and the Government was forced to relocate to Taiwan. The Government enacted the Declaration of Martial Law in Taiwan, prosecuted anyone who was suspected to be Chinese communists spy. Tin, an innocent farmer, was falsely accused and imprisoned. During the days in jail, Tin got lots of support from his inmate, Kok. With the hope that Kok gave him, Tin gradually found that it is impossible for him to be released from prison.

Adopting a pseudo-documentary format with a film-within-a-film metacinema approach, it portrays the onsite filming and behind-the-scenes during the making of Spy Love.

The driver, his wife, and his daughter held their own secrets until he came across a robbery, smashing the peaceful illusion of his family and tempting the improper thought inside him.

After WU’s arrival in New Zealand, WU has been trying to take a photo of the starry night sky every day with his phone, whether or not it was clear. The star photos can be interpreted as diaries. Using a 16mm Bolex camera to film the stars frame by frame with long exposure. Exposure time was determined by the mind. These uneven pulsations of lights correspond to the starlight changing along with the thoughts that were at mind. This film documents WU’s everyday ritual of star-gazing with the related associations and inspirations and forms a meditative process.

A year and a half before Taiwan's 2012 Presidential Election I gathered a group of young people from across the blue and green spectrum to participate in a political dialogue. Although they're from opposing parties, they were willing to talk politics. Through these deliberately arranged dialogues, what sparks will fly?

Wenya's parents separated when she was two, and after that she lived with her father and stepmother. Her stepmother couldn't stand her and was always arguing with her father. He had little choice-he had to send Wenya to her mother's house, but her mother was fully focused on running her business and didn't have any time to take care of Wenya, so she was often shuttled off to her relatives' and friends' homes to be fostered. After so many years of a life of foster care, young Wenya felt lonely and helpless, and longed for the warmth of a home.

Taiwanese writer and social critic Long Yingtai spent the last decade undertaking an ambitious project to record the untold stories of the Chinese Civil War that culminated in the Kuomintang's 1949 retreat to Taiwan. Based on her research as well as first-hand experiences collected through interviews, Long wrote the book "Big River Big Sea 1949," and, with the help of producer Wang Shau-di and director Huang Li-ming, also created this companion documentary. The film chronicles her yearlong journey visiting war survivors scattered throughout Taiwan, Hong Kong, and various places in mainland China, preserving a generation's precious memories in the form of a vivid oral history.

The stage is shaped by tons of golden rice grains into shifting landscapes—like rain, waterfalls, and deserts. Georgian folk songs flow through the space as dancers, carrying wooden staffs, move in slow, spiraling journeys, while a monk in white remains motionless. In the final scene, a dancer rakes the grains into vast concentric circles, forming an image of quiet intensity. Premiered in 1994, this 90-minute work is one of Lin’s key creations. Widely toured and acclaimed, it remains among Cloud Gate’s most performed works. Recorded in high definition, this 2013 version stands as the definitive edition of this landmark piece.

Founded in 1979, Lanlin Theatre Troupe is the first evertheatre group in Taiwan. It has inspired and nurturedimportant figures in the theater industry of Taiwanduring the past 30 years. This is a story about the rise of ageneration and the fall of the oldest theatre troupe inTaiwan. Having spent their early life in this troupe, these artists are devoted to bridging traditional Chinese theater and modern art form.
