“I wanted to document a normal life that you would see anywhere; and I realized that this was my own family. I half-jokingly submitted a proposal to a television station, and it was accepted. I began filming a diary of my family’s life using 8mm video that same day.” And so begins the hysterically tumultuous weeklong experience of this helpless father left behind at home with his unsuspecting two year-old daughter Mio, while his wife Niji is hospitalized to give birth to their next daughter.

Job exams, you'll be fine. Uemura spends August of his senior year at university looking for a job with bleak prospects. At his lodgings, Tajima, a classmate from junior high school, comes to ask to stay with him for a while. In fact, Tajima has a history of assaults in his hometown and has come to Tokyo to do dangerous work. By chance, Uemura learns of Tajima's criminal record and is also concerned about the late-night phone calls he receives. However, there is nothing he can do, and Tajima himself has no way to turn back, and their summer ends with their mutual caring for each other. The story is told in a restrained manner, but the same locations and props, such as the basement of the building, the pottery club room and the curry and rice, are used to show the changes in the situation, and the film's storytelling sense shines through.

The rich man keeps claiming that the carpenter Maimai Ti owns his for this and that reason. In the end Bay is saved by the carpenter and began to understand the life philosophy of "good is better than evil".

Alone in his room, a man exposes his meagre body to muscle training. Shadowboxing, strengthening his abdominal muscles with equipment bought by mail order, repetitive lateral jumps... Is he a young man who wants to be a boxer? No, he has no intention of becoming a professional boxer or a macho man. He has only one goal: to rob the bride at the forthcoming wedding of his girlfriend, who three years ago went to the dump in her own jeans and never came back. Since the day he received her invitation to the wedding, he has been steadily preparing himself to direct and star in the best bride-stealing act of his life. He had to build up his body, decide on the route, check his movements, practise his lines, arrange a black Porsche, a white tuxedo and some cool shoes... The plan was complete and the day of the ceremony finally arrived. He leaves the house with a bat in his bouquet. Cool, man. But will the plan work?

The scenes of the tea-making process, which he says he rarely films, are not only unusual as a record, but also have a rhythm that makes you feel as if you are working alongside the tea master, and you are drawn into the process. The film fully reflects the director's intention of "capturing the coolness of people working silently". The story is a simple one, but the care with which the scenes of tea picking, tea making and workrooms are filmed creates a refreshing atmosphere that is unique to this film. In particular, the theme and subject matter are fused together in a scene in which the "moment of sublimation", which occurs when the body is continuously focused on one thing and the mind is emptied, is superimposed on the scenery outside the window where the protagonist looks out.

The film is a naturalistic portrayal of the temperament of a single woman of today. The film is a real love story about the life of a single woman. The use of props such as a credit card and an answering machine in an unreasonable setting shines through in the scenario.

Reenactment documentary made for Oriental Time and Space (东方时空). The story concerns the discovery of a photo album containing 16 photographs which documenti the atrocities committed by the Japanese army during its 1937 occupation of Nanjing. This photo album later became a significant piece of evidence used during the trial of Hisao Tani, one of the primary perpetrators of the Nanjing Massacre.

My sister Pei-ling went through with an unexpected pregnancy. The child was nicknamed Angoo. She has always been the pride of the family after having been accepted into the Central University for Nationalities to study art. One day, Liuba returned to the mountain forest. At this time the Evenki people were in a transition from nomadic to settled. With the family deer, Liuba felt a little quiet, but in the forest, she already seemed to be Different. Finally, Liuba ran away from home, walked 300 kilometers in 4 days and married an old worker on a forest farm who loved her very much.
