In 1992, during the Georgian-Abkhaz conflict, the famous Sukhumi Monkey Nursery found itself in the epicenter of military events. The fighting took place not only on the neighboring streets of Sukhumi, but also directly on the territory of the nursery. Some of the monkeys were transported by the staff to Russia to the institute's branch in Adler. Unfortunately, it was not possible to save all the primates. Hundreds of monkeys died, unable to endure cold, hunger, stress... The story of the monkey nursery from Sukhumi is not only another drama of the collision of the human world and the natural world. This is a fairly accurate reflection of what is happening to the human community itself in the so-called "hot spots".

And these lunatics, it turns out, are also preoccupied with the completely earthly problem of "fathers and children." Relying on adventure fiction as a plot-forming form, the filmmakers talk with the viewer about the problem of intergenerational relationships, try to discern the future generation of humanity and find an eternal link between generations that makes progress in terms of continuity possible. A Russian man Sergey Matveev is sent on a business trip to New York to deliver an important package to a local businessman. As soon as he arrives in a hotel, he finds himself entrapped by the FBI. They know he used to be a GRU agent and threaten to imprison him if he would not reveal the secret information regarding "the mole". But Matveev escapes right from the hotel room and finds himself on the streets of an unknown city and enters New York city subway to hide away from the FBI. On his way home, he would have to face greedy federal agents and local criminal gangs.

Finally, the camera descends into the open pit, its contours dissolving into darkness, like an infinitely slow fall into bottomless depths.
