Death in the Tower: King Richard and the Two Princes

Two boys are waiting in the Tower of London for their big day of celebration. The older boy is just 12 years old in the summer of 1483 and is to be crowned King of England. But suddenly doubts arise among the nobles about the succession to the throne and his uncle receives the crown. After the coronation, the two young heirs to the throne disappear from the face of the earth. Have they been kidnapped or murdered? The new King Richard III remains silent on the matter. But the doubts about his accession to the throne remain. In the 17th century, bones are found during building work, confirming the old suspicion against Richard III as a child murderer. What happened to the two boys in the Tower? A cold case from the age of the knights in England, in which numerous new clues have been found in recent years.

Conversations with my Mother

An intense and sometimes disturbing series of encounters between the filmmaker and his mother as they relive the traumatic years of his childhood and adolescence. Following the migration of the family to Australia from Holland in the difficult postwar years they had to grapple with problems of housing, social injustice and adjustment made more difficult by the father's mental illness. For the filmmaker 'the sentiment had to be uncompromisingly true' although he became aware that 'all film is fiction'. National Film and Video Lending Service Catalogue, ACMI.

Love in Full Colour

Each year, Melbourne’s ‘Same Sex Formal’ is attended by young people from across the state who have missed out on the one rite-of-passage most teenagers take for granted - either because their school explicitly refused to let them bring a same-sex partner, or because they just didn’t feel safe to do so. With breathtaking insight, honesty and humour, 12 LGBT teens reveal the highs and lows of their experiences with falling in love, coming out at high school and coming of age.

Spaghetti Ramen

Originally completed in 2018, the film was largely self-funded, Mr Yen Ooi worked on the script, refining the vision of the film for over a decade, with multiple iterations of the story under names such as 'Beetle Ramen', in which the completed draft of this screenplay was finalised in 2005, this would become the basis of inspiration and 13 years later the final production "Spaghetti Ramen" would be completed. It was then distributed to different indie and international film festivals. Unfortunately due to the passing of the director in the same year, the final processes were incomplete and the film did not get screened anywhere due to not getting the rights clearance. In 2023 however, the film was cleared to screen at WORM, Camera Japan in Rotterdam. This allowed for the first and only screening of the film in the world.
