A married man begins an affair with a girl he meets under strange circumstances.

I climbed it several times depending on the time, the color of the sky and the shape of the cornices and ridges. Because of the weather and also because of this feeling of altitude, Mont-Blanc provides great pleasure. For the guide, Mont Blanc is his garden, but the garden becomes more beautiful when shown to a friend. Personally, I really like the bivouacs; only there one penetrates a little the mystery of the altitude. That's why I immediately accepted when Tazieff expressed the desire to spend the night at the top of Mont Blanc in an igloo. The film won the Grand Prix at the Trento Film Festival in 1961.

Émile and Fredo are two crooks who have just committed an armed robbery in a Paris bank. To escape the police, Émile, accompanied by his friend Lulu, takes refuge in the apartment of Antoine Perrin, a peaceful civil servant at the Ministry of Agriculture and amateur musician with the group Les Joyeux Colibris. Fantasy is a favourite theme for directors, since it enables them to give vent to diabolical situations with unlimited licence. This film is of this category. It is the story of a jealous and protective mother who allows her son only home-made dolls to satisfy his sick fantasy. But as in all fairy stories, there comes a day when a real, warm girl enters the sheltered life of the son. Out of friendship, the production company Images de France sent an operator, Bruno Muel, who later declared: "For those who were called to Algeria (for me, 1956-58), participating in a film on independence was a victory over horror, lies and absurdity. It was also the beginning of my commitment to the cinema."
