When Mizushima saw the name "Kashiwagi" listed as one of the organizers of the reunion, he was a little surprised. Kashiwagi was ignored by everyone because of his unusually short stature and ugly appearance. Who would have thought that such a man would be the initiator of the class reunion? When Mizushima returned home, he saw Kashiwagi, who had lost both legs and was awkwardly dragging his prosthetic legs, and his wife, Kano Takako, who was hailed as a Madonna in her student days and monopolized the attention of men.

“The visual harmony of the landscape is disturbed by a screen that allows us to see into the distance (television). The film is composed of six scenes that feature a television in the landscape. The speed of the television (in NTSC) is 30 frames per second, and never changes in this film. But the landscape views pass at different speeds.” - Yo Ota
Distorted "Tele" Vision
An energetic visual world that is just like riding a roller coaster in circles while taking in the scenery. As the camera pans around from an excellent vantage point, taking in objects like garbage bins in the park and power line towers, it zooms in with a violent enthusiasm. A second sense of motion is added with a further 360 degree rotation in that area. A road sign walks across a pedestrian crossing ― the humor is also fun.

This film is based upon the form of an individual’s diary. Jangwook created new images using several chemical treatments on the film surface while using footage of his daily life. These serial works begun from trials that Lee had communicated, seeking to re-construct his own memories, where the ‘mind’s eye’ become connected with the ‘camera’s eye’ and with film itself. In doing so the film is a conversation with personal documentary and everyday practice at the darkroom.

The Dawn
Mother, I'm going to make a film. I can't accept the death of my beloved mother. I was able to film her while she was fighting the disease, but I couldn't film her face when she died. Her love for her mother and her dilemma with herself. I am the one who turns the camera on myself, entrusting my wavering feelings to making a film. She moves back and forth between her boyfriend and her sex partner, whom she met after being seduced by him, while groping for her mother and her reasons for making a film. The film is a semi-documentary about "sad reality and me", but without a whiff of tragedy or self-deprecation. In the director's own words, "I let the film faithfully reproduce my own shaken emotions", and it is clear from the screen that he has probably already found "the end of my shaken self" through this film.

He feels suffocated and bothered by the small community, be it the local area or the relationships, but he also knows that there is a part of him that can be spoilt somewhere, and he cannot get out of it. This is the situation that most people today find themselves in, but this film depicts the tragedy that is caused by people who are eighteen there, in many different ways. There, victims can also become perpetrators, and perpetrators can instantly become victims, and this is clearly conveyed in the film, which is probably one of the main reasons for the use of middle-aged and older people as heavily weighted performers, which is unusual for an independently produced film.

Sakamaki dropped out of university and lives nihilistically every day. Every now and then, he receives strange phone calls at his home. The calls, which only mention the name of the place and a description of the caller, such as "Ikebukuro, a woman with long hair", are in fact murder threats. Sakamaki realises this and takes Mabuchi, a friend from his university days whom he met by chance, around to witness the crime, saying he will "show him something interesting". Sakamaki lies to Mabuchi, who blames him when he discovers his true intentions and lies about the impotence of human beings. Sakamaki has an experience from his high school days when a classmate committed suicide in front of him. However, something changes in Sakamaki after Mabuchi risks his life to save him from his own suicide attempt. The Very First Time
The newest work in a series of works employing 16mm film to exchange correspondence between the two filmmakers Nobuhiro Kawanaka and Sakumi Hagiwara. The principal theme of the series, begun in 1979, was "the landscape of memory", and the theme of this film is "travel". The thoughts of the two filmmakers intersect as Nobuhiro Kawanaka presents a return to the past through "time travel" and Sakumi Hagiwara uses a narrative method to portray "the destination of travel".
