The church of Sant’Andrea is in fact the only one in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region to have a fully-preserved cycle of medieval Biblia Pauperum frescoes: a bible for the poor, hence the illiterate. Inside the church, the lively paintings immerse us in a sophisticated multi-sensory media device: an ‘immersive environment’ from 500 years ago.
