What starts off with a simple weekend plan to watch a movie turns into a day of agitation as Marta’s daughter, Marie, swallows some fish bones. The solution starts off with bananas and moves on to a slew of superstitious beliefs. And in all these, they have become oblivious to the doctor who lives next door. In the background of the story is a news commentary of a radio station about how garbage especially the use of plastic can eventually affect our waters and our marine life.

Seniors: A Dogumentary

SENIORS is a feature-length documentary full of love, hope, and second chances. It focuses on three interwoven stories about senior dogs. There’s Chaser, the smartest dog in the world. Old Friends Senior Dog Sanctuary, a retirement home for dogs in Tennessee. And famed photographer, Jane Sobel Klonsky, who has devoted much of her talents towards capturing the bond between elderly dogs and their owners. Unlike most animal documentaries, our goal is to highlight the positive. No abuse will be shown in SENIORS. This film will celebrate senior dogs and many of the seniors who love them. It will show how vibrant they are, and how much they can offer to the world. This will be the animal welfare film everyone can watch, leaving viewers grinning from ear-to-ear, and showing how old dogs really can teach us new tricks.

Golpes

Golpes is a film that revisits the attack by the Chilean army to the Government Palace (La Moneda) in Santiago, Chile during the coup d'etat on September 11, 1973. Through images that document the palace and its surroundings, bullet marks on nearby walls, and the Atacama desert as a container of a history of disappearances and murders committed by the state, the film draws connections between the army from 1973 and the police force that guards the existing ideals inside La Moneda. The sound and the images are placed in hi-contrast as the boiling discontent outside this building becomes louder

Beat

BEAT is a story elaborated from your “Heart”. Viewers can experience the work with their hearts in their hands. The heart in the animation vibrates at the same pace at viewers' heartbeat. Viewers encounter a rusted robot, absolutely static. He doesn’t have a “heart” to move. Viewers can grant him a new heart by putting theirs on the robot. He then stands up and starts to move, expressing joy to live out all his strength. Those Who Do Not Remember the Past Are Condemned to Repeat It

Those Who Do Not Remember The Past Are Condemned To Repeat It (2020) is an experimental documentary investigating the intersection of People’s Temple (Jonestown) with the first-person survival horror game Outlast 2 developed by Red Barrel. Departing as the digital study of the game, this project attempts to recontextualize the relationship between the mass suicide of People’s Temple in 1978 and the game’s narrative. Composed by the archival materials from FBI and machinima made with the game, this work conveys uncanny audio and visual journey in the understanding the self-destruction, the religious utopia, the binary between capitalism and socialism.

So Late So Soon

Chicago artists Jackie and Don Seiden are a half-century into their marriage, time spent creating distinct yet congruous bodies of work. Jackie makes art of everything around her. Central to her practice is a recognition of the fragility of materials. That conceptual interest has turned into daily reality, as both her body and one of her most ambitious art projects, her canary-yellow Victorian house, start to fall apart. Don’s work reveals a mind resigned to death. He has always been interested in the rules of nature, and now he finds himself facing inevitable health scares. So Late So Soon is a sensitively constructed, playful character study that honors Jackie and Don’s art, and even becomes a part of it, while also locating in it glimmers of their essence.
