A 16 years old school girl, Shuming Xiao married to Mosuo minority's bandit chieftain La Baocheng in 1943. She had to leave her hometown - Chengdu, moved from a modern city to Lugu lake where the matrilineal society and the "Axia visiting marriage" system still exist. Lugu Lake is about 1000 miles far from Chengdu in remote mountain area. There are no lawfully registered marriage system or patriarchy clan relatives around the Lugu Lake, and Xiao lived here for about 54 years. During this long period, she never came back hometown.

He received millions of dollars in royalties for this novel which was based on the story of his wife, but he squandered it all. As a result his wife had a nervous breakdown and was admitted to hospital, leading Eliott to indulge in drinking. Now, Eliott is forgotten.

The first short documentary Jiang Yue made for the Oriental Time • Living Space program, about old men swimming in Houhai, Beijing.

This film was shot in an ruined house that once stood in Shibuya Udagawa-cho, Tokyo. The block where the house located was a redevelopment area. Shibuya, known as one of Tokyo's most popular bustling street, has an area where old building are still clustered together, and the surrounding area has become like a ghost town. "Plants retreat when people set foot in the area, on the other hand, they multiply as soon as people are gone." (Hiroyuki Sekine)

A boy has been aware of the presence of a girl beside him since he was a child. However, he does not know who she is. One day, a nuclear missile is accidentally launched at Japan. The children play innocently as if they have no idea of the fate that will happen in a few hours. Then the boy meets the girl again... The film tackles the heavy theme of nuclear fear, but instead of shouting hysterically against nuclear weapons as in previous works, it speaks poetically and dreamily. It is a requiem for children who have never known war to continue to be a generation that has never known war.

At that time, Gozo Sone, the leader of the Kanto Sone family, was secretly planning to expand into Shinjuku. Sone sent Kuroda, a member of the Kansai Gyokudo, to Shinjuku and plotted to break up their territory. A series of disturbing violent incidents occur here and there in the entertainment district, and even Kano and the Ryu group, who do not operate in Shinjuku, are caught up in the chaos that Sone and Kuroda have created.

Resulting pic blurs the line between documentary and fiction as Yanagimachi explores the lives of a couple of groups of peddlers, and they appear to act out their personal dramas for the camera.
