The next release in the ongoing SDE Surround Series of blu-ray audios is Elton John’s Diamonds: The Ultimate Greatest Hits Collection. This best-selling, career-spanning compilation was released back in 2017, to mark 50 years of Elton’s phenomenal songwriting partnership with Bernie Taupin. Kicking off with ‘Your Song’, this definitive collection brings together all the landmark hits of one of the greatest songbooks of all time, including ‘Tiny Dancer’, ‘Rocket Man (I Think It’s Going To Be A Long, Long Time)’, ‘Crocodile Rock’, ‘Daniel’, ‘Candle In The Wind’, ‘Bennie And The Jets’, ‘Don’t Go Breaking My Heart’, ‘I’m Still Standing’, ‘Sacrifice’, ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’ and many more. The Diamonds blu-ray contains 51 tracks in hi-res stereo (the same track listing as on the deluxe 3CD set) with 48 of those songs mixed in immersive Dolby Atmos by Greg Penny.

Meet the Buchanans

After 20 years, millionaire landowner Mike Buchanan is confirmed as the rightful Highland Chief. The Buchanans live in a magnificent house and estate on the edge of the Trossachs. His ambitious wife Paula is planning the inaugural three-day bonanza of tartan, and ceremonial regalia on the estate. She was the driving force behind Mike’s claim and is now the chief architect of his ‘coronation’ (well, much of it, when an ancient source can’t be found). Ceremony and ritual are unashamedly being invented. This is the story of how history is made... or in this case, how history is made up. As the family adopts increasingly bizarre and ancient entitlements, the inner workings of the British elite is revealed; raising important questions around class, national identity, history values and traditions, and the place of ‘Clans’ in the modern world.

Temple Road

Temple Road is a journey into the heart of womanhood, taking its name from the road that leads to the temple in the director’s hometown of Nyeri, Kenya. Inspired by childhood experiences, including women-only ceremonies and family Polaroid photos taken between the 1950s and 1970s, the film recreates a woman’s spiritual and ritual preparation. Weaving a dreamlike narrative, it blends the rituals of Kenya’s Indian heritage with the diversity of Kenyan cultures, reflected in a multicultural cast and intertwined ceremonies. Celebrating the sanctity of community, it creates a sacred space where women express themselves freely through rituals, song, and dance. Temple Road is both a tribute to the past and a call to recognize women as bearers of culture and tradition amidst increasing violence against them in Kenya.

Liberated Space

The Buntentor is a women’s project that emerged from an occupied house in Bremen at the end of the 1980s. We show how the women independently created a space of freedom for themselves, but also experience how their vision of a different life was destroyed by the closure of the house. Four former residents recall this time: Angie in her trailer, Andrea in her garden plot, Esther in her Berlin office, and the trans man Luke in Hamburg, who at the time lived in the Buntentor as a woman. We accompany them in their current everyday lives.

If You Won't Act, Then Were You Even Here

Clara, a passionate young climate professional, and David, her steadfastly faithful father and a conservative vicar, meet for a tense encounter simmering with conflict. Their bond is deep, but their differences run deeper - a daughter driven by urgent action and a father who trusts solely in divine will. What begins as a strained conversation erupts into a lyrical battle, as they hurl biting truths and convictions at each other through ancient hymn melodies. A clash of faith and responsibility, tradition and urgency - can either truly hear the other?
