Bayaludaari

Bayaludaari is a 1976 Indian Kannada-language film directed and produced by the Dorai–Bhagavan duo. It is based on the novel of the same name by Bharathi Sutha. This was the first movie of the director duo without Dr. Rajkumar in the lead. The film starred Anant Nag, Kalpana, and K. S. Ashwath. It was a musical blockbuster with all the songs composed by Rajan–Nagendra considered evergreen hits. Bayalu Daari was the first commercial success for Anant Nag who had earlier done art films and established himself as a leading star in the Kannada cinema with a chocolate hero image. This film was one the last big hits of Kalpana. The helicopter scenes formed a major highlight of the movie.

Nikhil (Prosenjit Chatterjee) is in distress over his failures. His personal circumstances are in shambles and he has defaulted on most of his obligations. His assistant asks him to make a commercial film on the lines of a Tamil film to revive his career. He refuses and decides to make his own film by producing it himself. He convinces his father to mortgage their house. He receives a call from Subhash one day who provides him with finance, but in return he would have to accept the actress of the man's choice. Nikhil agrees and they start shooting with Sujata, better known as Nandita (Rimjhim Gupta). A series of explosions take place in the city and Subhash is accused. He is also Sujata's boyfriend. Sujata is arrested. The film meets the same fate as his other films. Nikhil finally agrees to make a commercial film.

Sutrula

Sutrula is a 2014 Indian Tamil thriller film written and directed by V. Rajesh Alfred. The film features Richard, Mithun, Prajin, Sandra Jose, Srija and Ankitha in the lead roles, and was released in December 2014. The project began production in late 2012 with businessman Venkatraman and Ravikumar opting to fund Rajesh Alfred's first script. The team primarily shot scenes across Ooty, using an old palace at a cost of 1 lakh per day. A 75 schedule was also held in forests in early 2013, with Richard revealed to play a negative role. The team held their music release function in April 2013, with Sarath Kumar and R. B. Choudary attending as chief guests. Despite completing production in early 2013, the film was delayed for almost a year, before the team geared up for a theatrical release in late 2014. For promotional purposes, the team hired out jeeps featuring a doll, a pivotal character in the film, and rode around the streets of Tamil Nadu.
