Les Biches

Recording from the Bayerisches Staatsballett from 2014. Its action takes place in a villa on the ocean shore. The main characters are ladies, extravagant, devoid of prejudices, actively conquering men. But the frivolous nature of the dance of the French ladies emphasized the character of the choreography of Bronislava Nijinska - it is chic and elegant; such a manner completely led away to high spiritual spheres from earthiness and vulgarity. "Lani" is a ballet sketch, a certain stylistic dialogue with the past and the present.

Der Holland Job

In the tradition of a big gangsta rap collabo album such as "23" by Sido and Bushido or "Jung, brutal, gutaussehend" by Kollegah and Farid Bang, Haftbefehl and Xatar going by Coup present us "Der Holland Job", which was musically conducted by the producers Bazzazian and Farhot. Accordingly, it is a huge album that musically feeds on the current sound of French and American role models as well as the East and West Coast rap of the nineties. Exactly the approach that has helped both scene heroes to their current size in recent years. In interaction, the duo runs perfectly like Method Man and Redman and entertains - in all the harshness of the story and content - infinitely entertaining like the legendary films of Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill. However, only making a joint album would be out of the question for calibers such as Haftbefehl and Xatar. That's why a film was shot without further ado. The album "Der Holland Job" is accompanied by the short film "Der Holland Job."

Mitgift - Ostdeutschland im Wandel

From October 3, 1989 to October 3, 1990, filmmaker Roland Blum was commissioned by ZDF to capture how people in the GDR fared during the period of change, only to meet them again ten years later. The changes that unification with West Germany brought with it often manifested themselves in the way the environment was treated, because it was seen as the GDR's "dowry". The focus is on the Lubmin nuclear power plant, which was shut down in 1990, or natural disasters such as floods.

Kamakia - Die Helden der Insel

Documentary filmmaker Kosta Rapadopoulos travels to his homeland and interviews older men about their amorous adventures with female tourists, who flocked to Greece en masse in the 1970s. We listen to the story of a rapprochement between different cultures: here the impetuous "Greek lover", cooked for by his mother until marriage, and there the emancipated woman who takes the pill! His research leads him to the legendary "Kamakia" - the heroes of the island who gave themselves up to meet the special needs of women. A search that almost pushes Rapadopoulos to his limits.

Sunny Night

On 25th December 2011 the Georgian Patriarch Ilia II described his 34 year-long leadership as head of the Georgian Orthodox Church as a ‘sunny night’. Beginning in 1989, and going up to the present, the film essay Sunny Night tells of political and social events since Georgian Independence. A variety of formats and sources, disparate images and voices report on protests, recommencements, uproars and wars, and religious identity that centres around the dominant religion of the nation. In the midst of the ongoing shifts and the various state of affairs, the patriarch stands out as the only constant figure. Meanwhile the sermonised religion begins to take on radical forms, going as far as priests forming front row human-chains, leading protests of several thousand orthodox believers chasing a handful of LGBT activist throughout the streets of Tbilisi in May 2013.

Echolot

A clique gathers in a house in the country to hold its own personal funeral ceremony for a friend who has committed suicide. It's not unusual for extreme situations to lure people out of their shells. In this case, the suicide prompts them to switch off for a while; this weekend at least, these young people are no longer thinking about tomorrow. Instead, they surrender entirely to the moment and give their feelings free reign. They dance, love, argue, drink, go for walks, or take naps. But they also remember their dead friend, who is present in all their thoughts and conversations.

In Search of Vanished Blood

Inspired by East German writer and critic Christa Wolf’s 1984 novel Cassandra, about a struggling female artist and visionary. In Search of Vanished Blood comprises six 11-minute video projections streamed around the room through five clear Mylar cylinders, hand-painted with a variety of cultural and historical iconography, which hang in the center of the room. As the Mylar cylinders rotate, the colorful and layered imagery is projected onto the walls, creating a magical environment reminiscent of lantern slide presentations and other proto-cinema experiments in the 18th and 19th centuries
