Office worker Yoshiko is harassed on the train to work. By chance, she finds a wallet there, and is invited to dinner by its owner, Sagawa, as a thank you. Completely drunk, Yoshiko ends up in bed with Sagawa. The next day, she is harassed again, and in her agony, she steals the wallet that is right in front of her. Afterwards, Yoshiko gets into trouble with the owner, Ota, again. Yoshiko has gotten used to this outlet for her frustrations, but the next morning, she gets a call from a woman in her room...

Ritsuko, who works at a credit union, becomes close to her boss, Murashima, and gives in to him. Later, she is found out to have embezzled public funds for him, and is fired, but Murashima's attitude towards her is cold. Ritsuko joins a dating club and starts selling her body. During her days of SM and vibrating, she becomes close with a customer, Takagi. One day, she meets her old colleague, Hiromi, and when she finds out that Hiromi has married Murashima, she teams up with Takagi to kidnap her and take the ransom from Murashima.

Oki fuses documentary elements with narrative filmmaking to such a point that it's difficult to distinguish one from the other. The film is both the story of two men falling in love with each other on a beach, and a faithful document to the filmmaking process. In the film within a film titled "Gay Couple Trying to Connect on the Beach", the documentary footage of director Hiroyuki Oki will be double and triple transcribed. The documentary film explores the relationship between the director and the world, as well as interviews with friends. Soon the director realizes that "kokoro" is not what is inside of him, but the feeling that arises when confronted with something.

A female doctor, Seiko, and three nurses are conscientiously engaged in providing medical treatment in spite of the enormous debt their hospital is suffering from. However, apart from their daily work at the hospital, they are also secretly engaged in terminating major criminals that cannot be punished under the law.

Tales include: THE HILL OF OLD AGE, which tells of a conspiracy hatched against Japan's unifier, Oda Nobunaga. SEEING THE TRUTH, about the assassin sent to murder Nobunaga's successor leyasu Tokugawa. THE EAR OF JINSUKE, about a wandering swordsman saving a damsel in distress from evil spirits. PRINTS FROM THE FALL OF THE BAKUFU, features a tomboy from a woodcut works charged with making a print of the young warrior Okita Soji.

In deep Hengduan Mountain Range, western Yunnan of China, there hides a special village which is not known by people outside. All the villagers inhabited here are children between 6 and 14. They live in the village all year round to complete their six-year study in a primary school. Quite a few documentaries focus on this area, but "A student Village" is particularly touching because it portrays the optimism of the poor and shows respect toward them. Upon finishing the film, Director Wei Xing brought it back and showed it in the village. Villagers from miles away walked to the screening and shared in the festival-like atmosphere. The documentary received great feedback after it was broadcast on television.

The performances of the actors, who are by no means the best, are humorous and tasteful, and their individual atmospheres are brought to life, perhaps due to the fact that they have made two films with almost the same cast. Daisuke Fukuhara, who plays Fukuhara, gives a particularly good, natural performance as a man who is completely off his rocker. There is also a distinctive sense of rhythm in the time-lapse explanations that connect the short shots, making this film unique in that it is somehow stylish and at the same time funny.

A privately run, popular and thriving obstetrics and gynaecology clinic in a certain town has good reputation, with skilled doctor and kind nurses. However, when couples come in for artificial insemination, the nurse assists the husbands in extracting sperm, and the doctor secretly enjoys himself with the women's genitals, among other rather extreme sexual services. When doctor and the nurse are exposed to the various sexual problems and behaviours of the patients who visit the clinic every day, they gradually begin to lose faith in humanity, and eventually the two are drawn to each other...

In the village, these black pottery basins and black pottery jars are indispensable to life. Wang Zhengcheng began to learn how to make pottery at the age of 13. He has always wanted to become an excellent craftsman like his grandfather in order to restore the glory of his family.

The Silent Thrush is a fascinating mixture of exoticism and eroticism. It tells the story of Mu Yun, a young woman who joins a Taiwanese opera company. Min-Wu determines to murder Ji-Ae as he decides something during making love. Then her diary which is found in her apartment displays Ji-Ae's life like a panorama. After she comes to Seoul, Ji-Ae attends in a college by working part time job with difficulties. Then she meets Min-Wu who returns to school after finishing military service one day. Although she gets to love him, Ji-Ae becomes skeptical about his pessimistic way of living. At that time a fashion designer Yun-Jin appears to her. Ji-Ae becomes shaky due to Yun-Jin's sophisticated manner and comfortable life, and finally she allows him to make love. Ji-Ae is gradually falling away from Min-Wu while she begins to fall in mammonism. Min-Wu, who desperately turns around Ji-Aa, makes another love promising to meet for the last but he believes the only way to save her is to kill her. In the end he kills Ji-Ae and also finished his life longing for her.
