Life is Dance

Life is Dance follows the stories of six main protagonists, across three generations. Ordinary Cubans with one thing in common, their passion for dance. Marta and Félix are nostalgic for the dance halls of old, but still dance whenever they can. Damaris and Gusmel are leaders of a small-town dance group, it means everything to them to win the annual dance competition. Teenagers Lachy and Dayan would love to be professional dancers, if only they could stick to reggaeton and not have to learn the “old people’s dances” Full of colour and music, disappointment and joy, we join these charismatic characters on their journey through a changing Cuba.

À cœurs vaillants

Paris, September 2024. In the nave of the Grand Palais, two fencers face each other. Seated in their wheelchairs, they are about to cross swords for an Olympic title. From the edge of the strip, Delphine, also in a wheelchair, watches the event with a special perspective. She is providing live commentary on the final bout of Maxime Valet, the man she shares her life with. In his quest, Maxime can also rely on the unwavering support of his close circle: his parents, his coaches, and Brigitte, his fencing master since childhood, all of them pushing him forward.

Le Gagne-Pain

Noa, who has lived since 2020 in "La Déviation," a former factory converted into an artists' studio far from her native North, recounts her arrival in L'Estaque, one of the 100 villages that make up Marseille. From her first steps to the assertion of her desires, we follow her to the point where she can see and pursue a desirable horizon. The film progresses like Noa, in a precarious balance between the bakery and the theater, between artists and locals, between her own words and those of Fernando Pessoa, between work and pleasure… At the crossroads of these paths, she structures her way of life and her relationship to the world. A thoughtful portrait, poised between future and past.
