Not (a) Part

Conceived in relation to both the rapid decline of flying insects and the high recurrence of animation, Not (a) part is handmade or contact film that works with the subject and/or material of flying insects. Numerous dead bees found on walks were positioned directly onto negative film and contact printed. Occupying approximately 24 frames they run at a rate of one bee per second. The length of the film is determined by how many specimens are found over a specified period of time.

Nihil

"Nihil" tells the story of Adam, a young man who seems to be ready and determined to start his professional life in the city. New to the city, to its busy and quick rhythm, Adam tries to keep pace and enthusiasm but, among thousands and thousands of other strangers, he is subconsciously afraid to disappear: “When nobody’s watching, do I exist?”. Adam suddenly wakes up in the middle of a lavender field, cold and lost. Asking for help, Adam seems to be ignored by all the odd people he encounters until he realises that he is not being ignored but unseen.

Winter in Havana

The wind whips the Caribbean Sea over the railing of the 'Malecon', where fishermen stand and cast their fishing rods, while kissing lovers photograph themselves. On the mouldy facades of formerly magnificent buildings on the waterfront, wet laundry has been hanging for days, unwilling to dry. It is winter in Havana. Four people, four destinies in a unique city. Accompanied by magical images of picturesque architecture and nature, far removed from the advertisements promising romance, sun, beach, cigars and vintage nostalgia. The film offers insights into the reality of life of the idiosyncratic, socialist island state that is still under the embargo of the United States, to which the Cubans respond with solidarity and zest for life, with a clenched fist on the outstretched arm calling 'Viva la Revolución'.

Transmissions Protest: Gender Inclusive Fashion

The profound noise of dissent emitted by the power of a multiple but unitary voice that shakes the streets and complacency of London on the occasion of its Fashion Week in 2019. This is the voice of Transmissions, a collective of Trans* activists in London, who organized a protest catwalk outside the historic site of the Somerset House cultural Centre. Their aim was to demand the visibility of queer and Trans* bodies and protest against the exclusionary policies of fashion companies.
