Takao meets a woman with amnesia at a disco. His girlfriend, Miwako, is unhappy when Takao takes her home. Finally, urged by Miwako, Takao tells the woman to leave and goes to university. That night, while drinking with friends, Takao flirts with Kazuki's girlfriend, Yoshiko, ignoring Miwako. The two get drunk and get intimate in Takao's room. The woman with amnesia is still there. Yoshiko gets angry at Takao for continuing regardless and leaves. Seeing Takao leave, the woman says, "You can have me too..." Takao names the woman Akiko. Miwako, who had been putting up with Takao and Akiko's relationship, finally can't take it anymore and attacks Akiko, tying her up with an electrical cord. Akiko's old memories begin to resurface... In fact, Akiko felt an unusual pleasure from being tied up...

"Seishun taiken shirīzu shōnen Jun no natsu" is the oldest ever know sold through legitimate channels however, it turned out that the Athens Ueno store was producing 8mm film works since 1973. So far, it has not been confirmed that Athens' original work was sold on VHS/Beta before Shonen Jun no Natsu. As a side note, the first domestically produced adult video for straight men was also released in the same year, and it is no exaggeration to say that these works for adults greatly contributed to the spread of VHS decks in Japan throughout the 1980s.

Keum-ji develops a high level of concentration until it grows into a supernatural power which she uses to try to find her life. One day, Keum-ji has some plastic surgery done. She looks like Mi-kyung but Mi-kyung ends up looking hideous like Keum-ji once did. The two twin sisters are psychologically and physically linked, sharing a single fate. With their mother, Hye-won, begging her husband to return Mi-kyung to her former self, the husband is very conflicted but chooses Mi-kyung in the end.

Yeong-bok is worried that her defection will prevent his being promoted in the ranks of the communist party. He breaks up with his girlfriend because she is catholic in order to prove his party loyalty, but Yeong-bok still finds himself blacklisted.

A young girl lives in a Western-style mansion with a middle-aged man in a wheelchair. A boy is attracted to her sweet and innocent smile and tries to approach her. However, first love never comes true.

A perverted nerd uses his computer to determine that his ideal mate would be a teacher. Painting his face kabuki-white to gain confidence, he kidnaps two female high-school students and makes them his rape-torture slaves until they help him nab their teacher. In an abandoned building, the rapes and tortures continue until the teacher finally gets the psychopath's makeup off, rendering him terrified and harmless.

A collection of short shorts, a dozen or so short episodes and gags in 32 minutes. From the hilarious to the thought-provoking, all of the short films have an urban sense of humour, especially the second half, "My right hand, my left foot and the back of my head at the age of 23", which is full of wit and humour, firing like a machine gun. In the latter half of the film, the witty monologue and the rhythmical development of the images are beautifully synchronized, and the light but flexible "23-year-old me" speaks eloquently of his existence. Many of the film's gags are made up of deformed gags about the funny things that happen in the daily life of the author, a student, and the uniqueness of the characters makes this a film that will be loved by many people.

A camera races through the city, a camera licks its way around a room. Their gaze identifies with the artist's eyes, sits in his daily life, and looks around him. A high school girl, a grandmother in a liquor store, Pico the chicken. The author screams chases and beats up a man like a madman. This is a diary film in which we are forced to identify with the filmmaker through a hand-held camera that records the entire film.

A single-channel version of Kubota's installation of the same name, Rock Video: Cherry Blossom is a lyrical fusion of nature and technology. Branches of pink cherry blossoms etched against a vivid blue sky are the starting point for this sensual visual haiku. Through a fluid application of electronic processing, Kubota layers, digitizes, slows, colorizes and ultimately abstracts the cherry blossoms, creating poetic transmutations of space and image. The mesmerizing and unexpectedly witty confluence of serene blossoms and energetic imaging effects—the transformation of the organic into the electronic—is quintessential Kubota.

Hanayagi Genshu, who spent a winter in Tochihara Women's Prison due to an injury to the Hanayagi style Iemoto, is allowed to be paroleed. In Asakusa, she reunited with her prison companion, Sayoko Nakano. Genshu, Sayoko, and Setsuko Kanno gather at a yakitori restaurant to reminisce about their prison days. This is the second drama of her prison record that was broadcast in 1984 and caused a sensation.

In 1989, Emperor Shōwa passed away. The procession was televised, and between 800,000 and 2 million people watched it in person.

It is the second part of the period drama at the end of the Edo period, featuring Shinsaku Takasugi, who organized the Kiheitai and led the Meiji Restoration to success and depicts the turbulent life of the young samurai of the Choshu clan at the end of the Edo period.

1985 film

The original 1986 short film that would eventually be remade and expanded into the 1988 Star Virgin film. While originally just released as Star Virgin (スターヴァージン) it would latter be rebranded to Star Virgin Pilot Film (スターヴァージン パイロットフィルム) after the release of the 1988 film.

In postwar Tokyo, while his mum works, Taichi spends his days alone and misses his dad who was killed in the war. Through his friendship with an old man who tends a seemingly dead cherry tree, Taichi learns about the tree and gradually becomes more positive. (Source: Treasures of the Heart)
