Madonna

This project relies on the fluctuation between home movies and avant-garde aesthetics. Using symbols from numerous iconographic paintings of The Madonna and Child as well as reenactment of miscellaneous film stills, this piece encapsulates the topic of performances of femininity, psychoanalytic thought and interest in mimetic identification theory. Playing with the tension of stillness, the piece also relies on the respiratory nature within lighting, values, and color saturation. Shot on VHS-C.

Unseen Territories

Unseen Territories is a documentary and community-driven performance project that reimagines public space and the stories it carries. In Las Vegas, on Southern Paiute land, fourteen BIPOC artists challenge the colonial symbols that dominate the city, creating work that asserts identity, memory, and presence. The project treats artistic practice as a form of witness, showing how acts of creation can preserve histories and lived experiences that have long been marginalized. As the flags are made and brought into public view, they animate the landscape with joy, resilience, and pride, insisting that the complexity of these communities cannot be simplified or erased.

Daniel Farson's Guide to Britain: Volume 1

Description: Farson became a larger-than-life fixture of Soho in the 1950s, socializing with the likes of artist Francis Bacon and photographer John Deakin. But he was also a groundbreaking investigative journalist, reshaping approaches to screen reportage with the many dynamic television films he presented for Associated-Rediffusion in the late 1950s and early 1960s, finding widespread fame and acclaim along the way. In VOLUME 1, join the intrepid investigator – who paved the way for later program makers of the Louis Theroux school – as he takes a look at subjects ranging from Soho striptease, alien visitations and the Cavern Club in the afterglow of the Beatles, to witchcraft, the cult of celebrity and much more. All but one of the programs have not previously been released on any home entertainment format. Special features include newly recorded audio commentaries on selected programs by a variety of contributors.

Restoring the Headwaters

The Headcut in the Headwaters follows the story of wildlife biologists and stream ecologists as they take on the urgent challenge of repairing a stream headcut in the fragile sage-steppe ecosystem of the Big Hole Valley in Montana. What begins as an eroding scar in the landscape becomes a threat to drain wetlands, degrade critical sage-grouse habitat and disrupt water flowing downstream. Through collaboration, grit, and innovative restoration, this short documentary reveals how working lands and wildlife can thrive together and why protecting water at its source is essential for the resilience of rivers, communities, and all ecosystems downstream.

The Horses of Cumberland Island

Cumberland Island is one of the largest and most ecologically diverse barrier islands in the United States. Once owned by prominent American family, the Carnegies, much of the island came under the National Park Service in 1972, while some heirs retained lifetime rights to remain. Today, more than 60,000 people visit the island each year. Tourism sustains the nearby town of St. Mary’s, and the island’s feral horses have become a defining symbol of its history and appeal. But the presence of more than 140 non-native horses within a fragile ecosystem has sparked an ongoing debate about ecological balance, animal welfare, and preservation. In 2023, a federal court acknowledged the horses’ suffering and environmental impact, but declined to require intervention. The Horses of Cumberland Island is an observational documentary examining the tension between history, tourism, and ecology in a place where what we cherish and what the land can sustain are not always aligned.
