Mr Wong leaves the countryside and goes to the city with his wife and daughter to inherit a great fortune from his late uncle, unaware that a bunch of criminals are planning to honeytrap him.

The master trainer's business has developed into a conglomerate and is being developed in a community center in an impoverished area. The community center is ostensibly a non-profit volunteer organization, but in reality, it uses the elderly and infirm to help the organization to engage in criminal activities and make huge profits. A group of young volunteers from the center gather secretly in the basement every night, and the master trainer brainwashes them with the idea of hating the rich and making the world a better place by assassinating the rich and committing drug crimes for the organization, so that they can regain the goal of their lives and help the organization loyally.

Centring on the legend of the four ancient Chinese heroines, the film was a novelty for audiences at the time, as the singing performance was in Cantonese and used huangmei operatic rhythms—a popular trend in the 1960s, yet it retained traditional flavours by using operatic luogu percussion in the battle scenes. ‘Movie-fan princess' Connie Chan Po-chu not only sings Cantonese song and huangmei tone solos in the film, she also wows the audience by taking up the doumadanrole for the first time as the Tang dynasty female general Fan Lei-fa, showing off her superb operatic martial skills, together with Shum Chi-wah, inherited from Peking opera master Fen Ju Hua. Yu Kai's weaponry prowess and renowned female comedian Tam Lan-hing cross-dressing as a male general are also brilliant in this gem.

Filmmakers love making films about filmmaking, but not many of those films can truly explain where the passion comes from. Who are more qualified to answer this question than the new Master of Fine Arts graduates from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts’ School of Film and Television? In their graduation thesis, award-winning director Man is sentenced to community service for drunken behavior. Assigned to a youth center, Man has to guide a group of eight-to-twelve-year-olds to make a short film. At first, Man feels he’s too good for such an assignment. However, the kids’ enthusiasm and unique perspective of life eventually inspire him to rediscover why he loved filmmaking in the first place.

During the anti-Japanese war, truck driver Lee Sing's secret mission is to transport weapons and supplies for the resistance fighters. Sing has to deliver a signal gun to guerrillas at ten on that night for launching an attack against the Japanese soldiers. He works for the Ko's family and he has to send the gun to the provincial city to prevent it from being bombed. Sing carries on his vehicle a group of passengers including a Chinese traitor, a guerilla, a compassionate nurse, a comfort woman on the run, a teacher and his pregnant wife. Sing is given a hard time by the Japanese troops on the road. The Japanese ransack the vehicle and they find the signal gun. All the males on board are being interrogated with torture, but the passengers pool their efforts to subdue the traitor and accomplish their mission.

Two fools learn kung fu from an old master of iron back style. But after getting a beating from the town's hardman they seek out the service of the drunken master to help improve their kung fu skills.

Famed director Zhu Shilin tries his hand at a horror film!
