In 1998, Kang Chin-Ho (康進和) directed Kavalan (少年噶瑪蘭), funded by PTS and filmed by Wang Film Productions, the theme is an aborigine tale handed down in the Kabalan Plain, describing the protagonist transcending space and time to return to the plain in olden times. The art design was not bad but due to a lack of understanding of Taiwanese aborigine culture, the animation was not well valued by the aborigines.

International scholar Kenzo Ishikawa is calling for environmental protection and ecology awareness on a stage. However, the audience is small and the reaction is not good but one man called Haruo was listening enthusiastically. They both meet again at a bar where Ishikawa continues his ecology speech. Haruo wanted to hear more from Ishikawa and visited his house where they embrace after disposing of clothes they deemed harmful for the environment. To further protect the environment Haruo wants to blow up a disposible chopsticks factory and he prepares to make a bomb but Ishikawa doesn't agree with him.
The opening bust-shot, with its frequent use of cut-away shots and blurred dialogue, is like a campus version of Ozu's films. As the story progresses, however, the film itself breaks away from a style that was as borrowed (but still very fitting) as the protagonist. The way the film acquires its own rhythm and flavour is more than just a pleasurable experience, it is a cinematic pleasure.
Since Kumiko was appointed as a section manager, KS Corporation has been doing well. Because of this, the company president, Sano, seems small in front of Kumiko. L'Amour is the story of an elderly couple who have lived through pain and agony. Of their three sons, one committed suicide, one immigrated, and one ran away from home. As the two grow older, they find an increasing sense of warmth and security in each other's presence. When one of their sons goes bankrupt, however, their house which they mortgaged to support him is take by the bank. With no social safety net to catch them, the two are forced to separate: the husband goes to a men's senior home while the wife ends up in a woman's home on the other side of the city. This painful separation forces the couple to find new means of communication, whether through letters or meeting in public parks. As month pass, the approaching winter promises harsh times ahead.
