The girlfriend of a con-man is being held in a brothel and he must try to raise 200 tales of gold as a dowry. So he cheats a country simpleton out of his money then goes and loses it in the casino resulting in the country man feeling sorry for him. The two become friends and as they are both expert fighters start working as instructors for a local big boss but this causes real trouble.

A detective writer and his girlfriend are involved in a mysterious case when he watches at his neighbor's house.

An action-packed, flamboyant kung-fu adventure, based around a double revenge tale. The hero Kwan, stoic in the face of extremes, grits and airs his 'iron-fist' against the gun-toting baddies as he, single-handedly, decimates his adversaries. Demonstrating all the classic Chinese codes of restraint, asceticism and patience, Kwan reduces the complicated intrigue of plots.

One criminal gang gets its hands on a stolen 'national treasure', and another gang steals it from then...One gang needs a martial arts expert to get the titular valuable back for them, but he won't do it so they kidnap his brother to coerce him to help.

An evil student (Yee Yuen) cripples his old master and steals the dark sword that is just made. The old master tells him that his dark sword will be defeated by a golden sword. Yee Yuen begins to challenge all the swordsmen of the Feng school and kills all of them including their master, Kong Ban earlier was forced to leave the school and now has to find the Golden Sword in Order to take revenge and defeat the evil Dark Sword.

The Tang emperor is betrayed by one of his most trusted aides who is the general of all the armies. He attacks the palace to establish himself as the new emperor. The real emperor is killed and his daughter commits suicide rather than be taken prisoner.

Zhi Xiang, burdened by debts, considered quitting school, but Zhi Yuan urged him to keep studying. Zhi Xiang met Zhu Dan Li, a wealthy girl, and spent time with her despite his financial struggles. She insisted on accompanying him, but he refused to skip classes. Zhu Dan Li later returned to Rome, and Zhi Xiang, unable to arrange anything for her, realized his limitations. Zhi Xiang, immersed in art in Switzerland, forgot his studies. Zhi Yuan, thinking Zhi Xiang was in love with Yi Hua, tried to guide him. Zhi Xiang returned to Rome after feeling guilty, but his art failed. Zhi Yuan fell ill from overwork and was hospitalized. Zhi Xiang took his brother’s job. Eventually, Zhi Yuan recovered, married Yi Hua, and they prepared to return home.

The plot of Golden King is not currently known, which is partially because the film's poster describes the plot only as "Hot stunt action! Heart-wrenching plot!! Innovative ideas! Fantastic story!!" with not even a basic synopsis of the plot included.

Face in Motion depicts Chang Chao-Tang from the shoulders up, dressed in a light tank top, shaking his head and contorting his face. The background is pitch black, and he is lit with an almost otherworldly glow. The artist recorded at two frames per second, rather than the typical twenty-four, speeding up the erratic movement. He occasionally flips upside down or appears in blue and green colourised layers on top of the colourless original. A high-intensity electronic track, ‘Pulstar’, by the Greek musician Vangelis, accompanies the video and accentuates its volatile energy.

The film offers a glimpse into the lively hustle and bustle of the Market in the 1970s, but was likely banned from broadcast due to its perceived display of the unhygienic conditions.

Celebrated photographer and cinematographer CHANG Chao-tang captured Tamsui in the 1970s on film, creating a nostalgic yet melancholic concerto played by missionaries, fishermen, and tourists.

Documenting Taiwan’s first large-scale postwar outdoor concert, this film revisits the 1978 Grass Field Charity Concert, an unprecedented gathering of over 4,000 people. Organized by singer and television host Yang Tsu-Chun (楊祖珺) during the height of the island’s folk song movement, the event foregrounded music’s relationship with everyday life rather than overt political messaging. Yet its significance was inseparable from the era’s tensions: Yang’s self-titled album had recently been banned for the perceived “left-wing” social consciousness of her lyrics, and despite the concert’s stated charitable intent, its scale and popular appeal drew the scrutiny of Kuomintang (KMT) intelligence agencies. Framed against late-1970s Taiwan, the film documents how music, public space, and cultural expression intersected under authoritarian surveillance, marking a pivotal moment in the history of popular music and collective gathering.

At the beginning of the film, Master Chang is killed by a man dressed in a golden suit (Golden Bird) wearing a mask. The weapon used was called the Poison Phoenix (a stuffed blackbird with poison on its beak) only known to be used by Golden Bird, and the only item missing from the scene is the "Rainbow Sword" - the only weapon that can combat the Zu Ling Knife (sword).

The beautiful Shan Shan has two men who loves her, the arrogant young Lung Fong and the humble Tze Wei, but for the luck of Tze Wei, Shan Shan loves him, and arouses the wrath of Fong, who ends up getting involved with the beautiful, malicious and ill-loved Meng Li, who had already taken an out of Tze Wei, and sees in Fong a chance to get well, only he wanted it as a hobby, because his will is to marry Shan Shan. Meng Li can not bear to lose two men to Shan Shan, she sends some henchmen to kidnap her, now it's up to Tze Wei to save her.

This is the first starring role I've seen Casanova Wong play. He and the film's producers seem to be paying homage to Toshiro Mifune, Clint Eastwood, Jimmy Wang Yu et al. Casa is very much the taciturn, serious lone man on a mission. He is always focussed, apparently calm, until he explodes into action.

Great independent Kung Fu movie with James Nam, of 5 finger of death playing the good guy. Much like some of the better American Westerns of the 50's and 60's. Some very poignant scenes in this film, highly recommended!

Lok and Sok are two brothers in arms who came to Taipei together to make their fortune. Lok is tall, handsome and a ladies' man, while Sok is an ordinary, honest chap. The girl Sok has his heart set on, Xiao Wen, has fallen for Lok instead. How can they stop this womaniser from hurting Xiao Wen's innocent heart? The names Lok and Sok, phonetically similar to ‘lok-kò-sok-kò’ (meaning trivial matters), hint that this is a light-hearted romantic comedy.

A masterful kung fu student must face all challengers to his honor and his school. He must battle Western boxers in the ring and Thai boxers in the street in order to prove the validity of Chinese Kung fu and to save his friends from dishonor. He even takes the rap for a murder he did not commit to save his friend.

An arrogant young kung fu master engages in vigilantism in order to avenge the death of his master.
