Ji-won, she is from Goryeo, has another name, Yuliya. To call him, they must choose a name for convenience: Ha-pyung chooses Ji-won, and Sun-woo chooses Yuliya. Plant portraits consist of various participating individuals and their parameters. In this abstract analogy between life and an apple, one will have to face problems and suffer wounds to push boundaries. Maybe something new will grow out of it.

In this film, orchids are portrayed as indigenous beings who have thrived despite humans' indiscriminate colonization of ecosystems. Orchids take centre stage as protagonists, unfolding their unique or ordinary narratives from a plant-centred viewpoint. As such, the diverse and multidimensional dynamics of the transhuman community, which all ecosystem members belong, are revealed, and human audiences finally encounter 'Planet Orchid'.

This story begins with a photo taken a century ago during the colonial era. The director goes to Yeongdeungpo with a camera to find any trace or signs of factory girls in the photo. There are no large factories anymore, only apartments, department stores, racetracks, inns, steel factories, restaurants, unidentified places, or empty ruins. Through the lives and landscapes of Yeongdeungpo, the director wants to discover any traces that factory girls might have left.

I accidentally dropped my camera while trying to take a picture of a man sleeping on the street in Okinawa. The exposed image reminds me of the island called Okinawa and my home.

The short moment was captured on film when light turned off, and copying and transforming the images make it longer. Then we realize that such operations are what all living things have carried out.
