Tale Of A Sad Man

There is a house in the mountains of Graubünden. The mother is dead, the daughter arrives, then the granddaughter. They want to clear out the house—but inside, they sense the presence of the dead woman's secret companions. In addition to a silent hunter and an intrusive chiropodist, another figure seems to have found its place in the woman's life, telling her story from heaven: "S'Tuntschi vo Juf," the doll that came to life from the mountain legend of "Sennentuntschi."

The Radical Self

Knives have a long history, almost as long as mankind itself. An invaluable tool, first made of stone and later forged in metal, essential for countless everyday activities, from farming and hunting to cooking. Its use as a weapon is just as ancient. However, it is only in our times, in this century, that the knife seems to be making a comeback as a weapon, and with a clear political connotation at that; wielded by extremists acting alone among unsuspecting crowds. The Radical Self takes on the responsibility of investigating the phenomenon of this particular form of terrorism perpetrated by jihadists. The consistent effort to comprehend it, from a historical, political, and psychological point of view, asks the viewer to direct both gaze and mind toward a space of liminal (and certainly terrifying) psychosocial realities and cultures.

Instead of Trees

A film critic with philosophical interests, played by the film critic Roger Koza, wonders about the nature of Nature. And he obsessively tries to capture it with his phone camera. Other experts—filmmakers from different countries, art historians, a scenographer in charge of a natural science museum, and members of the human species from a distant future—think about ways of representating nature. A kaleidoscopic, playful collage, sometimes fiction, sometimes documentary, the film cannot help but wonder about the nature of cinema itself.

Protest Under Pressure

Over the past two years, German universities have become sites of resistance for students in solidarity with Palestine. Campuses have bee marked by police violence, court proceedings, intimidation, and growing forms of (self-)censorship. Set at the Free University of Berlin, this documentary traces how academic spaces have been reshaped by state repression. The film centers the brutal eviction of the Palestine solidarity encampment in May 2024 and the cascade of events that followed: a media smear campaign, institutional threats, legal repercussions, and mounting interference with academic freedom. These developments are situated within a wider political framework—Germany’s “reason of state”—and examined in relation to the country’s role in the ongoing occupation and genocide in Palestine.
