On the occasion of the »Construction Days« in the autumn of 1969, the Hamburg Building Authority commissioned five HFBK film students to film one Hamburg commercial each. Christian Bau opted for a critical portrait of Osdorfer Born, Hamburg's first large-scale, prefabricated housing estate, which had been built from 1967 by Neue Heimat, SAGA and other housing companies on the western edge of the city. The images, shot on 16mm, were accompanied by interview passages and a text taken from SAGA's housing construction program. The client was less than enthusiastic, the film disappeared into a closet for decades and can now be shown for the first time in the cinema.

The captain suggested meeting the Americans and surrendering to regular troops rather than civilians. The inhabitants of Muzière, believing the truce to be broken, fire on the Germans and, on this misunderstanding, the guns start talking again.

The film's young hero is a cross between James Dean's troubled teenager in Rebel Without a Cause (US, 1955) and Albert Finney's defiant mechanic in Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (d. Karel Reisz, 1960). Initially portrayed as a self-assured, arrogant and immature teenager, his chance meeting with a pretty, sophisticated middle-class artist reveals a more insecure, fragile side. The climactic love-making scene earned Scott the first X certificate given to an amateur filmmaker. This short film is an extra on the BFI Flipside DVD The Pleasure Girls.

However, it no longer comes to this, because on behalf of Gina, the wife of the local police chief, real gangsters appear with the tourists and finally flee with their dinghy. So now the vacationers have to rely on each other willy-nilly, and the couples finally find each other.
