Trans ist Trend: Wie eine Ideologie unser Land verändert

The first German-language documentary to critically examine the zeitgeist phenomenon of "transsexuality." In a nearly 90-minute journey, authors Judith Sevinç Basad and Jan A. Karon combine reportage with investigative research, attending demonstrations, speaking with activists, and meeting desperate parents, as well as teachers, transsexuals, youth therapists, feminists, and publicists. They conclude: Trans activism is perhaps the most dangerous zeitgeist phenomenon, one that is still completely downplayed.

The Animal Thing

The Animal Thing charts the struggles of Andrew Linzey, a cantankerous and unwilling subject for his son Adam. This is the story of a man who spoke out as a progressive voice in the Anglican Church, a polarizing force at the University of Oxford, and as a tireless campaigner for animal rights, on a range of issues from fox hunting and seal clubbing, to vivisection. Today, Andrew considers himself a failure. But despite the immense price he has paid for confronting the cruelty of animal exploitation, Andrew has also had an enormous and, until now, largely unheralded impact on the modern animal movement.

Guet-apens, des crimes invisibles

The result of an investigation that lasted several months, this documentary film reveals the extent of a phenomenon that we thought had disappeared: the traps, sometimes deadly, that target homosexuals on dating applications or sites. Ten years after the law opening marriage to same-sex couples, and in the run-up to the World Day against LGBTphobia on May 17, it demonstrates the persistence of homophobia in France. It also questions the way the police and the justice system respond to these attacks. The voice of the film is provided by Eddy de Pretto, a singer committed against homophobia.
