For generations, Altadena stood as a beacon of hope. While neighboring Pasadena enforced redlining policies that kept Black families from owning homes, Altadena welcomed them with open arms. Here, African American families could finally put down roots, build equity, and pass something meaningful to the next generation. That legacy-decades in the making-now hangs in the balance. Beneath the Ashes shares the voices of those who lived it: homeowners who lost everything, renters searching for stability, business owners rebuilding from scratch, and community leaders fighting to preserve what took generations to create. Through intimate conversations and powerful storytelling, the film reveals both the pain of loss and an inspiring vision for what comes next.

We follow the internationally renowned Scottish artist Caroline Walker over four years as she makes large-scale paintings representing the unseen, often undervalued, aspects of women’s labour - from hospitals to hotels, nail bars to nursery settings. Walker’s paintings reveal the invisible labour that shapes women’s lives, from housework to caregiving to creative production. Weaving together footage from Walker’s studio, her family life and interviews with the female subjects of her paintings, we question the role that art can play in depicting the social politics of reproductive labour, nurture and care for the next generation. Following Walker through pregnancy and the birth of her second child, we explore her role of the ‘artist mother’. Through privileged access to the artist’s life and work, the film reveals how motherhood has shaped Walker’s approach, while acknowledging the importance of her own mother, Janet, in inspiring and supporting her creativity.

Death in the Archive is an inquiry into forgotten films and artists’ lives, tracing a path from personal to institutional archives. The film unfolds as a historical montage and diaristic mapping of visionary Beat filmmakers of San Francisco’s North Beach, conjuring the celluloid bodies and creative metabolisms that persist amid the human and material mortality of artists, images, and fragile film stocks. Fragments of Dion Vigné, Jordan Belson, and Christopher MacLaine intertwine with personal histories and cinematic visions, constructing an archaeology of memory. Preservation of both media and life becomes an ephemeral transmission — the fragile survival of memory. Gestures, voices, and images endure, transcending time and material limits, as the film bears witness to absence, endurance, and the persistent life of creative imagination.

Kraftwerk's 1975 album 'Radio-Activity' celebrates 50 years with a brand-new Dolby Atmos mix created by Kraftwerk founder Ralf Hütter and engineer Fritz Hilpert from the original 16-track master tapes at their Kling Klang Studio. The Blu-Ray Audio disc also contains a 5.1 surround mix (rendered from the Dolby Atmos mix) and a Stereo mix of the band's 2009 remaster. Kraftwerk is unique, pristine, profound and beautiful, all at once. Decades may pass, but their streamlined synthetic symphonies stand outside time, as fresh as tomorrow, transcendent and sublime. Originally released in 1975, Kraftwerk's ethereal tribute to broadcast communications was the centerpiece in-between 'Autobahn' and 'Trans Europe Express', a trilogy of masterworks that found the band at their artistic pinnacle. The sweeping synth melodies are in full futuristic force here and 'Radio-Activity' is a pivotal and mesmerizing album in every way.

Operation Arnon: Inside Israel's Daring Hostage Rescue in Gaza tells the story of a high-stakes Israeli rescue mission to free hostages held by Hamas in Gaza’s Nuseirat refugee camp on June 8, 2024. The operation unfolded in broad daylight, under heavy fire, in one of the most densely populated areas of Gaza. Through firsthand accounts from Israeli commanders, intelligence officials, and the family of Chief Inspector Arnon Zmora—who was killed during the mission—the film traces the planning, execution, and aftermath of one of the most complex hostage rescues in recent history. The mission required near-perfect intelligence, simultaneous assaults on multiple locations, and infiltration into a crowded urban battlefield. What followed was an intense firefight as Israeli forces worked to extract the hostages. The film also explores the controversy surrounding the operation, including casualty reports from Gaza and the broader debate over how the raid has been portrayed internationally.
