Depicting the events of Mardin-İdil in the late 1980's, the film deals with international migration of Assyrians in the context of "leaving" and "staying", based on the story of an ordinary group. Today, among the 18 people who are narrated, nine live in Germany, seven live in Switzerland and only two people stayed in Turkey. This documentary, while combining the instants, on the other hand explores the memories of the past and today through the present atmosphere and aims to answer these questions: "Is it hard to go? To stay? Or to be together again?"

Art is merely a label of no relevance according to the artist Christian Eisenberger. At the age of 40 he has created over 45,000 works. He deposited thousands of them on streets and squares, where anyone could gather them up. He defies galleries, art fairs and museums with his unrestrained production. His art runs rampant, eluding all control. In a milieu that desperately struggles for attention and recognition, Eisenberger again and again asks, "What really constitutes artistic freedom? And does it require artists at all?”

The song was a cheeky request to the comrades to let him perform in the GDR - in vain. When he was allowed to sing for the first and only few times in the GDR in October 1983, his "Sonderzug nach Pankow" was not allowed. In March 2015, Udo Lindenberg traveled to Pankow on a special train on U-Bahn line 2, accompanied by rbb reporters.

The docu-drama "Geheimsache Mauer - Die Geschichte einer deutschen Grenze" by Christoph Weinert and Jürgen Ast tells the story of the Berlin Wall and the inner-German border from a new, unusual perspective: from the point of view of those who planned, built and guarded it. The film takes the viewer behind the scenes of the Wall builders: it reveals the "concreted" thinking and calculating calculations of the Wall strategists - and their secret plans to perfect the deadly border further and further.

Concerned Travelers is set on Lesbos during the last weeks before the EU-Turkey agreement came into effect in early 2016. One Million people reached Europe by sea in 2015 and almost half of them arrived on the beaches of Lesbos. The film follows migrants who arrive on Lesbos, before they move with a ferry to the Greek mainland and continue to travel north to central Europe. With the influx of migrants on the Greek Island, tourism came to a sudden halt and changed the livelihood of many islanders profoundly. Tourists who discuss their concerns in online travel forums regarding the crisis create the tone for this short documentary narrated by an omniscient observer. Concerned Travelers is shot in non-interventional, observational direct cinema style.

Steve has been with Carola for five years. But then Steve has to watch as his friend Bob is left out of the blue by his girlfriend, who turns to the much older tantra teacher Harald. Chocolatier Karl Sailer unexpectedly loses his job in Hamburg and his wife also becomes unemployed. Many of the natural wonders on the edge of Route 66 are located on Native American reservations. The Laguna tribe also owns the Route 66 casino. A legal privilege that allowed Native Americans to operate casinos created a kind of prosperity for them for the first time. The gamblers' money creates jobs, schools and hospitals. The Hualapai Indians also benefit from the rediscovery of Route 66, as it passes through the fascinating Grand Canyon. Indian guides now offer rafting tours on the white water of the Colorado River, which forces its way through the rock faces in gorges over 1,000 meters deep.

We all share the same kind of brain yet everybody has a different view of the world around us. As a very intriguing example, Carlotta vividly explains how a world without faces does look like. She suffers from the miswiring of a tiny brain region that makes it impossible for her to see and remember faces as a complete construct, called prosopagnosia or face blindness.

Collectors, counters, surveyors, "self-optimisers" - they all believe in the explainability of the world. It always comes down to giving order to chaos - sometimes through something as simple as the recording of empty bottles that have been collected.

Advertising manager Sandra has been living in Berlin for some time. The story sounds like a gripping thriller: almost 400 years after its publication, a previously unknown copy of Galileo Galilei's "Sidereus Nuncius", the "Starry Messenger", has appeared on the international book market. Unlike in the known copies, Galileo allegedly drew the moons himself. Who is behind the forgery?
